What is a fair price for AKG 1000

Featured Replies

I thought I might see what they're all about.  What do you all think is a fair price for a pair in excellent shape?

fair price is probably around 1100, anything north of that they're trying to gouge you on condition IMO

I think I sold 2 of mine at like 1300? some time back, but that's a bit of an outlier

I remember seeing these pop up for $700-900. Then around the time I joined the prices went $1k+ out of no where. Heck I've even seen these sell for $3k with the AKG speaker adaptor.

$1.2-1.5k is about the price range I've seen for them these days. With original box and all.

I still love the K1000, but I'm weird too.

I bought 3 times and sold twice.  Both sales were years ago in the $500 range, just before prices jumped up.  Now I have a pair that isn't going anywhere soon.....hard-wired with Stefan Audio Art cable with unterminated wire at the speaker end.

I'm keeping both mine......  but then, I am a collector.
