July 26, 201510 yr Jeff any interest in going to watch rallycross in August? There is a round at RFK and I am thinking it could be fun.
July 26, 201510 yr Author Holy fuck. That was not what I expected. So fucking fast. Near death trying to do the windiest, craziest elevation change roads I have ever seen.

July 26, 201510 yr Al & Al's Random Cars & Coffee in Leland Michigan yesterday: There was an angry mob coming from Flint and spurred on by the petroleum lobby to burn this interloper down to its electrical sockets. And this is the one that started it all: a 1964 Amphicar fresh out of Lake Michigan. Very fun to see this up close And beyond the water dripping off the back, there is some lake algae on the bumper to prove its recent swim Edited July 26, 201510 yr by Voltron
July 26, 201510 yr And of course, Audi break in ends as I drive into the parking lot. It's time to drive it like it was meant to be driven - like you stole it. As for me, installed brake cooling ducts and track pads (CL RC5+) in preparation for this Saturdays track event. Toronto Subaru Club is hosting the event at the MosportDDT track. https://www.facebook.com/events/1589988017934969/ Edited July 26, 201510 yr by Looser101

July 26, 201510 yr Author Mosport should be a lot of fun. And pretty challenging. Today was a real proving ground for my car, as it did several things I thought it could not do and a couple of corners I thought there was no way we were getting around. The Porsche Turbo, GT3 RS, GTR and RS5 lead the proceedings and those guys were not playing around. Outside of a short time in the beginning where we came across the Fat Old Fuck Century with a bunch of old Brent's walking their bikes up the hills, sometimes three abreast, the whole thing moved very quickly. Not sure I will sign up for another as it really seems like a giant accident / lawsuit waiting to happen, though they have been doing this since the 70s with no issues. My GoPro went dead about 20 miles in and had serious rattling in the case issues as I did not have it in the right case for the display screen attachment.
July 28, 201510 yr Author Someone else's pic of Tim filling his GTR at the restaurant with E85. Averaged 7 MPG for the run. Having not spent a lot of time driving around with GT-Rs before, I had not realized how massive this car is. Edited July 28, 201510 yr by VPI
July 28, 201510 yr Jeff begs for more pics and doesn't even bother to "like" Al & Al's Cars & Coffee. Sad.
July 28, 201510 yr Author Sorry Al. I never really think to like anything. I always forget that is there.
July 28, 201510 yr I might need to find an excuse to ditch the family and go drive these roads early one morning this week in our rental car. Because nothing's faster than a rental car ...https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y1LhUzL3qdU Edited July 28, 201510 yr by Hopstretch
