I found the cooper o-ringed gaskets to be too much work...leaked too often in my application. I push a bit of boost through a 406 C.I. motor.HS Those are some great pics, VPI. I use different levels of polishes (more coarse to finner in series depending on nature of issue) from Griot's. I cannot recommend brake cleaner. It may dull your paint and it will fog plastic in my experience.I have a friend that swears by charcoal starter....a petroleum based product, but I have never tried that personally. Just watch to make sure you're not down past the foreign paint and down into some primer native to the vehicle's paint Good luck.
