The benefit to slew rate from balanced drive comes from the ACTIVE stages. In the ZDT, the tubes are all run single ended

As I understand it, fully balanced SS amps can have much better stereo separation, because the grounds aren't connected.

Is it the same for a single ended output stage run through a transformer? Or are they still connected before the transformer?

Is this amp powerful enough to drive orthodynamic phones?

My balanced Sonett didn't manage to drive my HE-5. Just not enough power (both voltage and current).

it's alright but if it were me I'd be saving my pennies for a EC ZD. The DNA sounded flat and somewhat boring to me.

Obviously not. I was just wondering whether anyone here had some first hand experience with this amp by now and what they thought of it. Hence the thread bump. And yes, I've scoured the other place as well.
