  1. Past hour
  2. Bike newbie here. I’m going to go pick up a helmet this weekend. Is there anything I should know/look out for? I mostly plan on riding on the road and maybe light trails. Bike will come later. I want to use the bike share in town for a bit to make sure I’m committed before opening the wallet for something nice.
  3. Today
  4. Became reacquainted with an old friend.
  5. Yesterday
  6. One use of three Pioneer R2Rs. More performance art, but still fun.
  7. Needs one of these for completeness
  8. When one of my favorite, faaarrr from perfect, quirky, no one should buy in 2025, cameras shows up in a new article... https://petapixel.com/2025/08/14/the-retro-styled-nikon-df-dslr-was-both-behind-and-ahead-of-the-times/ Mine, unfortunately, didn't come with a pocket watch.
  9. Certainly a time capsule.
  10. Very local South African tune. The singer was my high school headmaster's son. 🤷‍♂️
  11. Last week
  12. New to me, excellent sound quality and performance. I need to get this on vinyl.
  13. Not great, not bad, enjoyeable. Good to see the violaist getting love. They're like the bass guitarists of classical music.
  14. This is peak Gen Z humor, I assure you.
  15. Untamed (Netflix). I enjoyed it. Short, to the point, didn’t overstay its welcome. I’m honestly a little surprised the critical consensus on this one wasn’t more positive.
  16. Human Universe by Hayato Sumino (2024) https://album.link/zbtbf0kvjxt5q Example: Good debut on Sony. A mix of Originals and Classical works, example is original. He only has a couple of major works under his belt so far. Known on the internet for his version of the Cadenza in Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #2.
  17. Simple morning bake, wheat and oat flour. {just needed some bread}
  18. I won that race. Where's my trophy?
  19. RIP Sheila Jordan
  20. I’m not much of a sports guy, so probably behind the times, but there’s sperm racing now? https://www.spermracing.com/races (“race video”) “how the race works: we've designed a microscopic racetrack that mimics the reproductive system—chemical signals, fluid dynamics, synchronized starts. high-resolution cameras track every microscopic move. it's all live-streamed, complete with stats, leaderboards, and instant replays. the winner? the sperm that crosses the finish line first, verified by advanced imaging. the stakes have never been smaller—or bigger.”
  21. Thanks Knucks, great shots.
