Fucking rough line today - 4 hrs 15 min and not inside yet. Easily the longest I've ever stood in line for food. The company has been fantastic though.

Part of our crew is meeting at Hot Doug's today for a HC send-off. With only 48 days left before close, this is very likely the last time we will be there as a group. I personally intend to get there at least once more in September but this is my last trip with the security blanket of knowing I can go again.

We've had two of them - for Enigma and Jazz - for a few months now. And it actually works! Everybody gets their own food. We know who's eating what. Life is good. Donut still has a regular bowl. He was the one who was getting bigger while the girls were getting tinier, so he's not in need of reserved food. I wish the pendant was smaller, but the cats don't seem to mind at all. It took a while to teach Enigma to use it, but she taught Jazz in an afternoon. Battery life on the bowl has been excellent. Battery life on the pendants has been OK, but to be fair, who knows what kind of ratty batteries they sourced as OEM. (our D-cells for the bowl, OEM 2032 for the pendant)

Until It Sleeps Hero of the Day Bleeding Me Mama Said Outlaw Torn Fuel The Memory Remains The Unforgiven II Low Man's Lyric Fixxxer Bleeding Me is an all-time favorite of mine. Mama Said got a lot if grief but I think it's a solid track, if a bit out of character. Outlaw Torn is epic, and I love the extended un-encumbered by manufacturing limitations mix. I know people harshed on Unforgiven II but I like how they probably came up with the guitar line and realize it was strongly related to the first, and just went with it. And Fixxxer is another solid closer. Some of the singles they released are more of the filler tracks for me. While some might not agree with what I kept, I'd really like to hear a compelling argument for keeping something I cut. Thoughts?

I've been traveling of late and haven't kept up with this thread... so I just wanted to say thanks for all of the well wishes concerning my aunt. It was weird not being there for her funeral, but I've since had a chance to talk with her husband and each of my cousins. They all seem to be managing well. My mom, not so well... but I just think she's drained from all of the back and forth between Illinois and Colorado during these past 6 months. I was able to pick her up at O'Hare and have now spent several days with her, so I guess I've been able to play at least a bit role on this end of things. About Robin Williams... sigh...
