As an aside, really enjoying all the Big Sound articles. Really really cool project. I like the way you are handling the blind testing aspects, by not embarrassing anyone but just assuring the reader that yes, blind testing between components is REALLY hard. I'm in a place right now where I think, yes, differences between sources and amps aren't as drastic as maybe I once thought they were, but also there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a kick ass amp in front of me when listening to tunes. If it brings me joy, then its improving my music listening experience.
Only if you are a girly girl. Sorry Shelly, but that was just too easy. Al and Mike Sr, thanks for the Machine era credits, but, yes, in this case, Al is correct, and I join him in being a bit concerned about Mike's brain cell diminishment. Can those things be regenerated? I hope so, as I have dropped a few over the years. Shellfish? Sushi? Shark fin? Answer please, because Mike and I have memories too valuable to lose.
That's amazing! and shocking too considering the cost of such things in Europe. These are no doubt made in quantity, but a bespoke case made here (such as this) would be ten times the price. My heatsinks were more meaty though
Thanks for the birthday thread start Al - much appreciated! And thanks to everyone else as well. Another year older, not sure if any wiser, but it's all good. Cheers all!
