He's still young enough to think he won't be affected. Wait until he finally meats fat, balding Colin in the not too distant future. And actually the poached eggs and home fries are the only thing that looks appealing there. Take lots of pics of thin Colin. You'll want to reminisce one day soon.

They (and by 'they', I don't just mean Amazon) really need to quit being dicks to current customers. Repeat business should be treated the same as new business. I managed to convince at least one magazine of that back in the 90s.

Inspired by Tyll's big sound project a few of us Bay Area people are going to get together and do some blind A/B testing with the Yggy, my Oppo, the Gungnir Multibit, and a few USB regeneration devices tomorrow. My philosophy has always been that if I can't hear a difference blind then its not something worth paying for. I can't wait to find out whether spending 2.3k on this DAC was worth it. It subjectively sounds nice to me, but if I can't pick it out from the Oppo blind then it probably wasn't the smartest buying decision. I am also curious to find out whether there is something to those USB regen devices or if they are snake oil. I'll report back with findings later this weekend.
