  1. Getting to know the bike quite a bit better, we definitely get along. Still not ready for full send.

  2. While waiting to have my Omega FOIS "gifted" to me for X-mas I had a weak moment and pre-ordered one of these. It is a Baltic Aquascaphe in the blue sun ray dial with gilt finish. A retro inspired divewatch. Nothing too fancy, but it caught my eye. Pre-ordered so I won't see it until mid-next year. A "micro brand" assembled in France. I ordered it with both the tropical style rubber strap and the "beads of rice" 316L bracelet. I like that they're quick release for an easy swap. Double domed sapphire crystal and sapphire bezel. Good for 200M, but I would never dive that deep...i find most the fun stuff is above 100' and generally 20-40'. I don't dive that often these days so this is more about the aesthetic including the 39mm sizing. The movement is a Miyota 9039 automatic with a 42 hr reserve. Reliable, basic and helps keep the case at a relatively thin 12mm. I've been spending like a sailor at port in Bangkok... HS

  3. I'm a fan of that too. Very restrained, classic design -- some might say boring but they're idiots so we don't have to listen to them.

  4. Peter Green ~ Splinter Group "Reaching The Cold 100" I love the second CD with the 4 versions of Peter's period at Fleetwood Mac.

  5. It's a nice watch, I felt tempted by the review on Watchville by Fratello. I like that vintage vibe, it reminisces of the 50 fathoms. I wish it feels like that on the wrist. Let us know

  6. These days for my casual listening whatever is easy rules the day. You might keep an eye out for one of those Griffin Power Mates. They come in Bluetooth and usb versions and are nice under the hand.

  7. I would try using the "built in" volume controls in the apps (Spotify, iTunes etc.) before buying something like that. Some gain software will cause audible bit reduction at low levels. On the other hand, that is cheap enough to just give it a try. If I can, I always prefer analog gain controls. If poorly done, it can be noisy (noise floor) but for the most part, digital audio has such a large s/n ratio that it would be very hard to notice. Mackie and T.C. Electric both make a fairly cheap analog volume knob (XLR). https://www.tcelectronic.com/Categories/Tcelectronic/Computer-Audio/Accessories/LEVEL-PILOT/p/P0D71#googtrans(en|en) Griffen made a nice looking digital knob but it maybe out of production? https://www.amazon.com/Griffin-PowerMate-Multimedia-Control-Computers/dp/B01F63TOAC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1545505802&sr=8-2&keywords=griffin+volume+knob Me, I generally use the analog volume knob on my Amarra 4 (thanks Al!!!!) or built in app volume or a combination of the two (depending on current laziness level).

  8. 500 dollars of shininess. ? Yumi had to work until 11pm last night so it was set up when she got home. Hopefully she'll get some time to play it tonight before we leave for Cal/Col. Thanks for the recommendation. The Kawai dealer here was awesome and great to work with.

  9. Oh, you're looking to hire consultants? You should have started with the rate you're looking to pay.
