Excuse the crap picture, but I finally finished my KGSSHV after way too much procrastination. It is running just fine and I managed to avoid any and all magic smoke to the surprise of myself. The wiring and general layout is still a little rough but I'll fix it up some other time. Big thanks to Kevin for the great design and to Birgir for boards/transfomer/some other parts as well as being very helpful along the way. Also a huge thanks to @gepardcv who helped me out with a lot of resources to get started and was just an great guy all in all. I would write something about how great it sounds, but alas I do not have any pro bias stax here at the moment, so that will have to wait. Cheers.

I took these two fellows.. …on a ride to big brother who has his own original Kevin DIY T2 PSU (reduced voltages - everything else as original). With this PSU both mini T2 are silent - no annoying hum. Here they are all together.

I (or actually, my wife) picked one of these up for me on Friday. I also got a set of drill bits from them (https://www.shars.com/media/flip/2018master/mobile/index.html#p=2) the 404-2201, which I am thinking I should have gotten some better ones, maybe one of the cobalt ones, or at least the HSS 6542. Any recommendations from what you see there? I probably also don't need anything larger than 3/8", so dropping down to a 22 piece set shouldn't be an issue. I haven't used either yet.

We have some exciting news to share! Another company that has supported our meets in the past has stepped forward to contribute to this meet. Arthur Power of Matrix Audio and Violectric Audio USA is added to our co-sponsors for the event! Matrix is picking up the costs of the refreshments! Since they have very generously doubled our normal budget, and since the meet starts at noon, this will allow us to provide a light lunch in addition to our usual snacks! Also… there will be a raffle! I am currently reviewing a set of powered speakers that do pretty much everything you can ask for including pre-amp and DAC duties. These speakers are the Vanatoo Transparent One Encore! From what I can tell so far these things may be the Swiss Army Knife of powered speakers! Add a source and you have a system! Gavin Fish of the Gavin Fish agency, arranged for me to review these speakers. He has also arranged with the two engineers, Gary Gesellchen and Rick Kernen, who own the company, for us to raffle them off at the meet! Once my review is published, I’ll provide a link so you see my opinion of these! Of course, we’ll try to pick up a few more items between now and then just to make the raffle a little more interesting! I expect that there will be more to say as we get closer to the day of the meet, so keep watching! John

Took me a couple years to track one down in my size, but it's sure worth the wait.

Hodinkee did a good job covering things as they hit this year. I really hope they can get some leaks from whatever went on behind closed doors in Zurich. My local Omega AD has not let anything slip if info has filtered to those who didn't attend. I tried this on last Friday.. I liked it quite a bit but not enough. My AD wanted to bet me that my friend would buy it. I walk into the operating room on Monday and I hear some one calling my name from down the hall way. It's my buddy saying "guess what I bought". He shows me a pic because he is very strategically not wearing it because he told his wife he wouldn't buy any more watches for a while.. Oh yeah and side note to watch news and social media. I scored the opening wrist shot on watches tonight With Tim on the watch box studios YouTube channel. IDK how many here watch Tim's stuff but I like him. I had previously gotten a shot on with my 2018 seamaster diver 300m and BHSE (tube glow and lume glow) Edit: just left my local Rolex AD and had them put me on the list for the new Batman. I am also on the list for a sky dweller. They had a gv blo milly and an airking in the case. They just sold a TT sub, so maybe supply is getting better and I have a chance of getting one of those watches before 2025.
