  1. Thank you everyone! It was a great day! My favourite band, Al1ce, sung me "happy birthday" on their Twitch stream! Bucket list item -- check!
  2. All worked well. Sliced up the ply into 1” strips and then used the pocket jig to make a frame. I think 1” is too narrow so will probably do 1-1/2”.

That's just additional room treatment. Sedans are more laid back, SUV's a little forward in the mids, and 4x4's bass heavy.
  5. The SRE-950S has yellow markings.

I bet that sounds pretty good when the car isn't up on the gigantic hydraulic lift!
  7. Happy Birthday!! And sorry
  8. @VPI is going to be thrilled that while he is in SF for the first time in a long time he can experience this jazz opera about boxing and shoes again!
  9. Yes, that is still the case. In fact, it's worse in a way, because in the old model the y-forks were made of plastic and you could muscle the earcup past them (though they had a tendency to snap if you did), but becase this one is metal, you can't. However the new design allows for a wider range of motion, and the fit is definitely better than in the old one. I'm guessing someone with a 3d printer can probably make a y-fork that bypasses the tab and allows for full outward articulation. I know SoCas makes Stax mods, maybe they can do it, but I haven't contacted them about it. It'll have to be both taller and wider, since the earcup itself is wider at the inner side than the fork. Edit: Look like they already make something similar. No comments on style...
  10. Used my new record cleaner. Nothing automatic about it, but it cleaned all of my records great!
  11. Just put up some shelves and cabinets in the shop space preparing for making things again!
  12. Table Mountain, located in Butte County, CA.

Incredibly sad. I can't imagine Keith Jarrett being unable to play the piano. Ric and I were in one of those audiences that he harranged for coughing too much, and many in the audience turned against him and openly heckled him. A meaner person might suggest a karmic retribution, but even that night he returned to the stage and took requests until he got back into the music and played quite awhile longer.
