Hope the MRI was informative.

Listened to Liberty Mutual ads as part of a Spotify free tier subscription during an MRI. I guess everyone has a low point in their musical journey.

The gathering of the heads of state alone would have made it an historic event on the world stage. Definitely some poignant moments.

This looks like it's going to be way better than the movie was, which admittedly is not a hard thing to achieve. They've done a good job with the cast.

The book is truly terrible. But I think the show still stands up against anything peak TV can throw at it. In particular, shows like the sopranos, g.o.t., breaking bad etc. all seem to say that when circumstances are trying, people become selfish and cruel. MASH otoh shows people in the most desperate of circumstances doing just the opposite.

Close. There are other subtle reminders of differences, like the all the Fuck Newsom flags on surrounding properties and the 60ft Trump Nation banner right across the street. Still other similarities inside the time warp bubble…

Sorry, but in the bay area this seems like any Saturday to me. OK, maybe the Queen is usually a man, but other than that...

Speaking of a different experience, yesterday went to London (though some old timers referred to its historical name - “Hollister”) and visited the Queen (lookin’ good!) and the extended royal family, aka lizard people. Also other confusing things.

Also why is the seniors discounted menu at Denny's basically the children's menu? Mmm jr. grilled cheese.

Watched the first episode last night. The timeline has changed. The supporting characters are similar, but have been tweaked to fit modern times. But overall a very similar storyline. Interesting cast. Wayne Brady plays a character not that far removed from his famous Chapelle Show skit. Rosy O'Donnell plays the cop. Good first episode and I'm hopeful it doesn't go downhill.
