I'll see your bass, Brent, and raise you. Taking my old bass to use for practice in Durango (so my "band" members don't hate me). This ones a beauty.
G&L Fullerton Fallout (short scale)
^^This. We used a Gator case with a TSA approved lock for Peter’s electric guitar when we flew out to Colorado to take him to Colorado State. Worked like a charm as long as they do not lose your checked luggage.
That scene was the best! Her eyes are so wonderfully expressive. And when she has that Mona Lisa hint of a smile when the sprinklers start...
And the girl who plays Enid is such a perfect foil for her.
I think I am more interested in learning to hand cut as the Leigh has issues staying locked in across cuts. The key bar keeps sliding which leads to super loose or tight fits periodically. The little brass thumb turn cannot tighten it enough to battle the vibration/router movement.
Built a tray to go on the entry cabinet for all of Kasia’s mail that she never opens.
Just buy it a seat
Alternatively, check the dimensions of your case and check that against the airline's policy and the plane's above-head holding dimensions to see if it will technically fit. I've flown with a trombone that didn't fit up top before (Xavier's when we moved out,) but the FA was able to put it with some of their vertical storage up front and it was fine.
I've heard too many horror stories: Don't let them check your bass! Also, Steinberger make a nice headless and bodyless bass. I have one. It was very popular in the late 80's? Geddy Lee played one for a short while. There are multiple threads like this on TalkBass:

That was my intro to The Flaming Lips. I had the pleasure of seeing them while they were touring promoting Oczy Mlody. It was a small venue, so an intimate experience. Oddly, sponsored by the Winnipeg Jazz Festival. That's fine, I'll take them whoever is bringing them to town. The best part was that I brought my 16 year old daughter to her first rock show. Damn, they did not disappoint!
HBO and HBO Max are streaming Howard Stern's interview that includes a lot of Bruce playing songs solo with a guitar or at the piano. It sounds great and is touching and interesting.
Just read about a company that 1) restores older Apogee ribbon speakers, and 2) makes their own in the same tech vein....
I liked some of the old Apogee's, so was nice to hear this. Clarisys Audio is the name....
