Feeling pretty awesome, and hoping I can do more..... I got the OK to take an old work laptop, as well as using one of my own. Wiped disks, refreshed OS (Windows 10 Pro OEM for ~$10!), and donated them via a local "Buy Nothing" FB group. One went to a woman who has no computer (does have a Smartphone but not always easy to do a lot on the small screen), and goes to the local library for computer work. Second went to a woman who's husband was just laid off, and they are keeping money tight - don't want to spend anything on even a used laptop right now. So this will help with his job search. I told the work folks who OK'd the one laptop how this turned out, and I'm trying to do more. We have some laptops that come in and are fully written off and removed from inventory. I'm now checking with the CIO and our Legal team, to see if I can do more of these refreshes and donations. Such a nice thing, I love doing this and hoping it can continue....

Just got in to Long Island, staying in Long Beach with my sister. Will be staying near the hotel Saturday night so can also meet up then. looking forward to seeing any that can make it to Other Half tomorrow

I got in a brand new pair of SR-007 mk2 on Monday and they already have an odd noise in the left channel. It sounds like a telegraph and there's no imbalance. I have the same issue with the ESP/95X, which has a significant channel imbalance. Both have been fed by a modded SRM 006t I bought from spritzer last March, and I've always kept them on a Stax stand with plastic cover. I tried swapping channels and sockets on the amp to no avail and it doesn't change noticeably with driver distance. The sound starts as soon as I turn my PC on, regardless of anything playing. I haven't yet checked how it changes with the volume knob nor have I tried the Koss with the stock energizer to see if the noise persists, but those are next. I know dust on the driver can cause noise, but the 95X squealed and buzzed before the left driver started losing volume and both headphones producing the same noise in the same channel seems odd. Any thoughts? Noise issue aside, the SR 007 are phenomenal headphones and I don't want to think they're already faulting.

I’ll know better by end of day today about my Friday schedule. Saturday after the show definitely works. For any stragglers, Monday is wide open for me.

I lost a lot of stuff inside them back in the day. A light would have been very useful. A popsicle stick I was using to further investigate. Then later, ejaculate and my virginity. And finally a set of car keys. That was the final straw, and what set me on a new direction. I never got to drive that Plymouth Duster again!

Plans for Friday in Brooklyn are pretty loose so far. @jp11801 and I are planning to meet at Court Street Grocers for lunch around noon. If others can join but need the time to shift a little, then we can adjust. After lunch and maybe some walking to aid digestion, we will make our way to Other Half Brewing, which is nearby. At some point, we will make the 20 minute walk to Finback Brewery. I don't remember it being that far the last time I walked between the two, but so says Google. Again, if we know when people are free, we can set some times. OK, so who is up for some or all of this afternoon / evening in Brooklyn? Claire will be joining for at least some of the time and my daughter Sophie will be meeting up with us after work (whatever that means these days). Any particular time constraints that we can try to work around? Speak up so we can plan something. I'm hoping that @spritzer @justin @Kerry @Emooze@The Monkey@luvdunhill @bozebuttons @Iron_Dreamer and anyone else in the area will consider hanging out Friday or at least Saturday beyond just the meet itself. Anyone hear from @nikongod these days? @shellylh gets in Saturday and I'm sure she will be up for fun times. See you soon.
