I had a couple of goes at photographing ghost mushrooms (Omphalotus nidiformis) which are biolumiscent.
A bit like the Aurora Australis the glow is seldom visible to the naked eye.
Long exposures + high ISO - hence the noise.
Sounds like you have G.A.S. for the sake of G.A.S. Grace is a good company, feel free to stick with that...unless you feel like you're actually missing something. And in that case, you may want to make sure there's impedance matching between components.
Other than the Schiit line of gear, I don't know what DACses are popular any more. (I don't have one, myself, though, so it might just be that they have a memorable name.)
Dolby Atmos Wants You to Listen Up.
True believers in the immersive audio format say it could restore a musical appreciation lost to a generation that has come up during the streaming era.

R.I.P. Bea.
Dorothy's Golden Lab Bea. She turned 1 year old early this week then passed suddenly on Thursday.
It's believed that she ate something outside that caused the issue. Poisonous mushroom may have been the culprit. Bea was the sweetest, friendliest dog. She was a gorgeous blonde haired, pink nosed ball of joy. I will miss her!
Dorothy is devastated, as expected.
