  1. Ok, got a differential front end (balanced-balanced and balanced-SE) working today and zeroed DC offset on a whole lot more of these little modules. Seems to perform really well!

  4. I was shocked - shocked, I tell you, to find out you throw yo-yo's. Actually, I'm the one that just throws. What you do with them is fantastic. I need lessons from you. I'm so happy that Doug got to come. It was pretty hectic getting him in Friday night from the airport and adding the last touches to the equipment. We were soldering in my Beezar Audio den until about midnight, I think.

  5. I have a question about the voltage setting; if I want to configure the GRLV to output, say, 5.5VDC. Is it as simple as using a LT1021-5 5V voltage reference and change the R7 and R8 resistors to arrive at the 5.5VDC output? My plan is to use the positive half of the GRLV to power the digital section of my DAC.

  6. So creepy: After which the following exchange happened: "It's Lenin, is it not?" (Me): "It does look like him, dunnit? Also kind of looks like Putin. I wonder if those children are being force-fed his chin. That's...that's kind of very creepy. Like a level of creepy of which I had not heretofore imagined." "Peter (I can almost imagine her stand with her wrists on her hips), this..." "...or that..." Both bald guys. So creepy, whoever it is. Me: (I crack me up.) "Peter...love...You got the drawing tablet out pretty quick!" Me: Giggling like a 6th grader the entire time, too.

  10. I am laughing so hard it hurts. Do yourself a favour and search on "vocals half-step out of key" -- it's the best thing since St. Sanders.
