I decided it was taking up too much space on my desk so it is in the main setup right now. (The Pico DAC is connected to the GS-1).

I decided (after trying it in several drinks) that I don't like Dubonnet and poured the rest of mine down the sink.

I don't think I would want to try bending it. I'll just have to do the obvious thing and get a 13" MBP.

Arrive 8:25pm, leave for NE on a 9:42pm flight.

Me too. My flight to Nebraska on Thursday has a connection in Denver. Maybe I'll get stuck there.

Got the mStand Rain stand today. It is about 1 inch higher than I would like (it is the perfect height for the hubby's 13" MBP though) but other than that, it is great.

Cool story. I like owls. We have an owl that likes to hang out in our backyard sometimes.

Cardamaro #2: Bols Cardamaro 3/2 oz Bols Genever 1 oz Cardamaro 3/4 oz lemon juice 1/4 oz Cointreau OK but I like the first Cardamaro drink better.

Noted, in fact that picture is etched in my mind. Opened up the Cardamaro. Quite nice. I decided to try a manhattan-like drink (the Cardamaro has some similarities to a sweet vermouth). 1 oz Rittenhouse 25yr Rye (100 proof) 1/3 oz Cardamaro I might use a rye at 90 proof or more maybe a little more Cardamaro next time but this is a nice drink. Next up Bols Cardoon.

*Grilled Ribeye* plus other stuff and red wine. Do I need to mention that it was excellent?

One word: Griottines (Morello cherries in Kirsch) They are so good and totally worth their cost. There is about a million cherries in the 11.8oz jar. The only problem is that I find myself wanting to eat them when I open the fridge.

Don't know if it is the best solution but you could get an Airport Express for $99 and wireless stream to the DAC (it has optical out). Works well with itunes. I think it will only handles 16/44 though if you happen to have a lot of high-res stuff. Also, there is a slight lag between when you click on a song on the laptop and when it gets to the DAC. Not usually a problem though (only if I am randomly shuffling through songs trying to find something I'm in the mood for, then the lack of speed can annoy me). If I am listening to a full album, it is not a problem. Edit: The easiest solution is of course, to get an Macbook Air or Mac Mini.

Got an email from Continental telling me kindly that they had changed a flight of mine in Jan from 4:30pm to 1pm (I guess they decided to cancel the non-stop 4:30 flight). That's all nice but I have to be in a meeting from 12-1pm. Fuckers. Now I have to call them up and argue with them. I hate dealing with people.
