  1. You have exactly 25 years in front of you to find a solution before the next realy big celebration..... Amicalement
  2. I have yet to see a line of work that is worthy of investing someone life and that needs less time in formation than what it needs to become a below average male stripper.... Amicalement
  3. From my girlfriend (the architect... ) Walter Gropius Biography - Biography.com Amicalement
  4. I'm quite impressed. I was presuming that this kind of nuance would have been noted only by GPH. You got a point Sir but try to keep this subtile distinction alive while you're eating a peanut butter sandwich and someone ask you the name of your cat.... The only german names allowed in the list are dead German architects... Amicalement
  5. Oups!!! This is the original pic in the post number 67...(Got a bit too much distracted cleaning on Photobucket. Sorry about that...) Amicalement
  6. Maybe but I tested it with our little friend and look what reaction I got from the use of ''Cha-cha'' name*.... Amicalement * In fact all other 3 names got a similar reaction...
  7. No doubt about it unless you live in a French location/culture. In that case ''Cha-cha'' would be exactly the same as if you called a pet ''Cat-cat'' in an English location.... Amicalement P.S. Currently we have 3 names left on the final list: Gropius (thinking of Walter) Picasso Merlin
  8. LOL...Not realy my first choice since he's still waiting for an official name (his current file at the vet office is ''Minou masqu

  10. Two nights ago I had a hard choice to make between Styx and Patrick Watson.... Went for Watson. A fun show and a lot more babes than the previous Van der Graaf crowd. On vocal, Watson is pretty amazing and the band was having a good time. Not at there best outdoor since the noise coming from the usual morons (the ones with the beer meter already in the full tank 2 hours before the first notes of the opening act) is annoying. Me? a f..... elitist that would prefer all shows to be in an indoor setting? You bet I am. At least I have found another advantage for the concert earplugs. They cut much of the closer sound coming from the immediate crowd. The concert had a nice surprise feature: one song was performed by the whole band during a little journey in the audience. Amazing trick because the sound quality of the main audio system was not affected at all. 9 sur 10. Amicalement
  11. Just saw your new pics. Very interesting. Amicalement _________________ PS Just looking at the blue version of this Prague's Rambo, I think you were unaware, at that time, that he knew about our diplomatic growing tension... Visa restrictions 'unfriendly': Czech consul general

  13. My dear Guillaume, In life we all have to make painfull choices: you choose to go for sex, beer, and rock & roll in Europe. And poor me I had to stay here at home waiting for Hammill and his band to perform in our Summer Festival. Since I started this thread long ago I'm about to close it with a post in the ''What's the last concert you attended?'' spirit. As you know, last friday Qu
  14. Patrick Watson---Wooden Arms New and sounds as good as anticipated... Amicalement
  15. If that grawk guy stays on the ice we wont go back for sure.... Amicalement
  16. OK I know it's a cheap shot (like the ones around a certain dead hockey club) so PM me your T-shirt size and I'll buy you one if they sell one during this tour... Amicalement
  17. You're in luck there's a rumor that he will be touring Europe this summer: Amicalement
  18. Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss....do I like the East Coast..... '' It now looks as though we'll be undertaking a serious (3 week or so) N. American stint in June/July after Nearfest. Things still await absolute and final confirmation (and relevant work visas, naturally), but it looks as though we'll be paying visits to the following places at least: NYC, Washington, Cleveland, Chicago, Buffalo, Annapolis, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal. I expect (I hope, for the sake of the budget!) that more will appear in due course. Sorry that I can't give fuller information at this point, but I'd better wait until everything is signed, sealed, delivered.... And sorry, but it does look as though this will be an East Coast tour only.'' (Peter Hammill) From: Sofa Sound - Latest News Amicalement
  19. The Montreal club was so much in trouble even before the start of the first round (remember they are under this man guidance....) So I choose to watch another hockey related show. It's Hanna Koivu and Marie-Christine Lavoie (Mathieu Dandenault 's girlfriend) doing a renovation show featuring the new home project of another Montreal player: Maxim Lapierre. As you can see below you can understand why I realy like home renovation shows: Amicalement
  20. The glass design could be easily improved by a simple change: The upper unit could bring it's glass in front like the lower unit and have a little curve at the top end. That's it. And yes black is essential.... Amicalement
  21. The usual fee.... Amicalement PS. Back then I was a bit jalous of the Montreal tennis pros. One example: our Davis Cup captain (and a tennis pro for the major part of the year) had the chance to get every year a one week stay in a corporate condo in Tokyo. A gift from his tennis Japanese students (the big guys in the electronic field who were playing at his club).
  22. Well.... As a former tennis director of an indoor tennis club in a city where tourism is a big part of the economic activity there's so many fun opportunities. There's one. All the producers of rock concerts in our city are connected to the usual network of solid sources for VIP entertainement. My club was one of these sources. The funny thing is that when celebrities are privately visiting incognito (or even when musicians are on tour) they want to do normal things but in a secret way. At the club I managed we had a freaking nice setting with a private court in a separate building from the main complex. In and out without any chance to be seen by the regular club members. There I had the chance to practice with many high profile people who wanted to play tennis with the local pro hiden from the general public. No big deal it was part of the job. Now back to the main topic. One evening I received a message like this '' dont go to to bed too late you have a practice with a member of a rock group tomorrow ''. Yep it was Geddy Lee. A very nice fellow and a good player I must say. Generally half the times the practice is evolving toward the '' show me what you can do maestro '' . This time was no exception and at the end of the hour he asked for it. Let me just say that he found out that tennis can be a risky business.... Amicalement
