i've been using my er4s straight out of my iPhone and I think it sounds excellent. got rid of my amp because i couldn't really tell the difference between having one and not having one. team minimalist ftw!

great episode last night. especially liked the part where Dwight was talking about all his table tennis heroes

true but there are other threads littering this place that are full of our head-case-isms

my main problem with him was the fact that he was unwilling to accept anyone's opinion here on his apache or the b52. to me he seemd like a stuck-up, pompous head-fi user who's unwilling to accept the fact that the information that he reads on head-fi or gets from head-fi members isn't the be-all-end-all of audio. apprently to him, some of us here are high schoolers with limited education or knowledge in electrical engineering and have no idea what the fuck we are talking about. that's enough to get shit from me, i don't know about anyone else here. aside from that, he did also post shit about his amps and the forum without doing his research and figuring out what this place is all about. first thing i did when i got here was read that ruh roh thread, and damn, i knew what was good and what wasn't here. easy as that.

I rarely visit the place anymore and have pretty much decided that it's worthless to spend even a few minutes there. I find that the plethora of inane rambling that goes on there makes my head hurt immensely. Plus, we got some great DIYers here who I can talk to about DIY amps if I'm ever going to be in the market for another home amp or if I want advice about a big production amp, then we got people who are clearly more knowledgeable about the equipment than 99% of the people I could talk to over there.
