  1. Help me choose my headphones megathread! I like it already.
  2. I have the Asus STX and as a source it's not bad, but the amping isn't perfect. People make it out to be all that you need for a wonderful audiophile setup, when in reality it's just a somewhat decent soundcard that has better than average amping for a soundcard.
  3. That's what I said I was thinking of doing earlier.
  4. It's very obvious that the amp was designed to be extremely easy to build and I realize that's the reasoning behind the jacks. I just prefer to have my jacks on the front panel

    They're magical!
  6. The only thing I don't like about the amp is the top mounted jack, but I think it shouldn't be too difficult to mount it on the front wood panel (I think).
  7. Not today, but yesterday I saw the Evening Parade at Marine Barracks Washington. If you can get reservations I highly recommend it.
  8. Woot!

    Breakfast of champions?

Anyone else found the irony in someone new to this forum complaining that people were complaining here too much?

You need one, you just haven't realized it yet.
  12. That was the idea behind my comment, though I was thinking more of the D2000 for the frame and pads. Make a nice wood cup, bolt it in and toss in your favorite driver. That's why I only mentioned the frame and pads. I wasn't thinking the MarkL "mod" but rather headphone driver transplant + DIY cup "mod".

Still, $190 shipped for a Squeezebox Touch ain't bad.

LOGITECH.COM 40% off Select Items Use coupon code synrepp_2009 Squeezebox Touch for $179.99 before tax (if applicable)!
  15. I wouldn't mind the Denon frame and pads as a starter base for a modded phone, they're decently comfortable.
  16. I think your idea has promise.
  17. Perhaps it can. I wonder what's so tricky about aftermarket power cord design? The fact that there's three connectors as opposed to a RCA's two?
  18. I think the i7 would be a bit much for the usage, either i3 or i5 would fit the bill.
  19. This amp sure is interesting; I would like to see it in person someday. As a side note, what a waste of a perfectly good Hifi2000 case.
  20. You can also hold down ctrl and right click to get the right click menu IIRC.
  21. I suggest reading your welcome PM.
  22. I was looking on the Rudistor site and found this: Are those heatsinks cooling the.....power resistors? Holy shit, it's $4000?
  23. I was shooting for the pun there I have b22 and dynahi boards but they're still a ways away from being completed >.> I'd like to see pics of the RB010 innards, I've seen it recommended quite a bit on that other site...
