  4. Can't imagine Horrible Pictures of Men and Cats hasn't already been posted, but in case...
  5. As I know we have a few fans here... ‘Calvin and Hobbes’ creator Bill Watterson returns to the comics page — to offer a few ‘Pearls’ gems http://feedly.com/k/1ox4avK
  6. Not sure what all has changed since being acquired (for instance phone number is now optional and trial extended to 14 days, both of which are new), but I believe I was only asked to choose favorite genres and at least two artists before everything fell into place.
  7. Stretch, having just received two Pros at work, I can I objectively state it would look best in your new pad. Wouldn't screw up visuals with a mouse or monitor attached though. Just VNC through phone.
  8. Anyone else giving Beats a try since the switch/MOG death? Heavy on the social stuff so conventional search and album-artist views suffers a little, but overall still decent and I suspect the recommended playlists will get used more over time.
  9. Saw s02e01 tonight. A little heavier and a good start.
  10. Took the day off, stalled at my favorite Mexican restaurant for a bit, then signed a home loan and went in debt.
  11. Brewski Me is currently free: http://feedly.com/k/1nYa8rK
  12. Spent some time with Estelon Extremes tonight. About $246,000 too much for my blood. Or maybe that was per channel? 166 pairs of LS50s? Anyway, were kinda wonderful.

  16. Spent two years on a lightly smaller, older (Suribachi-class) supply ship. Brings back memories.
  17. How did I miss that the LS50s were Stereophile's Budget Component of the Year and Overall Component of the Year? http://www.stereophile.com/content/stereophiles-products-2013-budget-component-year http://www.stereophile.com/content/stereophiles-products-2013-overall-component-2013

  19. As you also have the 12Ls, they're certainly a step up.
  20. How many more weeks until Winter comes?
  21. None, I'm just saying I'm down to digging 2-ways at least on that one trait. Not yet down to '1-ways.'
  22. ^ Thanks for the suggestion. Will definitely investigate. Just got back from a couple hours with Sonus Faber Venere 1.5 & Venere 2.0 bookshelves and Martin Logan Motion 15 bookshelves and the Motion 40 floorstanders. Course a million variables in the listening rooms, and maybe this is common knowledge, but its like the imagining gets less exact the more complicated the speaker design (there were several other traits which definitely improved). Haven't quite jumped in with the full-range single driver crowd (and I know the monitor rep), but judged solely on imaging the LS50s and Motion 15s were in the top three heard over the last 24 (including a few not mentioned). Course that's not everything and the listening rooms were far from ideal, but it was surprising to me. Not surprising: the Veneres were easy on the eyes.

  24. Yes, they certainly were. Dealer said the R700s have been their best seller for the last couple years.
