    Sirius XM?

WMFU, one of the last, great freeform radio stations, has 12 years of archives available for download. You still have a chance to be cool in 2001! http://wfmu.org/ The This American Life iOS/Android app has 18 years of audio documentaries available for download. http://www.thisamericanlife.org/listen/mobile Just saying.

    Sirius XM?

I turned it on and off several times years back. Liked the '70s channel quite a bit and my radio had the 'artist alarm' (maybe they all do now?) which was cool (I think it was responsible for my The Band fixation for a bit). I haven't kept up with the encoding since, but at least then it was really poor (even by car standards). Shame as the original planned service was the opposite, but quantity of channels became more important (I think even before actual launch). Let me second the smartphone route. Decent service and a few apps can get you a ton of content. Add Spotify/MOG/rdio and it's even better.
  5. There's a dotted line? Appreciate the help, but on calm reasoning, assume the American traitor (okay, I'm stretching) probably just tied to log in ten times or whatever and the phone was fried already. Just to be sure I just fried. Also completely unrelated to watching Les Misérables on the plane yesterday, or any free conference alcohol I've consumed over and over tonight, here is my farewell to the iPhone 5... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsS1MS3EqyM
  6. True and hopefully, or it may have been picked up by quick, next passengers on way to airport and now in Romania. Either way was sad to watch drift away. If only I was an Olympic swimmer.

  8. Yeah unfortunately I just jumped in the cab line at the airport and the receipt was generic without a name or number. Hotel nicely said they were going to check cameras for a door name/number as I realized about two minutes from closing cab door while standing at front desk, but they seemed to get bored with follow through. Yeah I suspect its a goner. Will see if guilt sets in tomorrow and then wipe after if not. At least setup Photo stream on Mac to grab photos of daughter.
  9. Just like Gravity...
  10. So being tired and an idiot, I left my iPhone 5 in a cab in Boston after arriving around 11pm. Remembered Find My iPhone (though wasn't sure if I even had it activated), so logged in to iCloud with my Mac. Bingo. Tracked cab moving back to airport and sent a 'lost sound' and then put the phone in 'lost mode' (with message of hotel, phone and reward). Shortly thereafter the phone went dark/offline. Probably an existential question, but how long do I wait before giving up on humanity and using the last Find My iPhone option - frying the phone?
  11. Cool tats.

  14. Have a great one.
  15. Does that mean there's a new owner? Also in todays news - World’s Highest-Resolution Master Recording for New Linn Release – Cleveland-based Five/Four Productions (featuring tech experts from Telarc’s former audiophile slant) has captured the Boston Baroque directed by Martin Pearlman in Haydn’s Nelson Mass and Symphony No. 102 using 11.2 MHz direct stream digital technology. Five/Four Productions sees this as a quantum leap in hi-res recording technology. It takes the one-bit DSD technology used for mastering the best SACDs from 2.8 MHz to 11.1 MHz, resulting in a recording 256 times the resolution of a standard CD. Five/Four Productions has won 16 GRAMMY Awards plus Japan’s Grand Prix Award. The SACD and download is tentatively planned for release in October.
