Well, it just depends on how you see things. It all goes back to St. Nicholas, who's feast day is celebrated on December 6th (the day he died in 343). It's not altogether clear when he was born. So I've always said that Santa was born when St. Nick died in order to carry on his tradition. So by that measure, Santa will be 1,669 years old this year. Your source is obviously measuring from his approximate birth date, which was in 270 (or thereabouts).

Ya, no kidding! I got this email this morning: Navy Seal quote of the week Dana Perrino ( Fox News) describing an interview she recently had with a Navy SEAL. After discussing all the countries he had been sent to, she asked if they had to learn several languages? His reply: "No ma'am, we don't go there to talk."

I agree with all of this and also think that they chose well in terms of the business decision. I just hope that they're wrong and that he comes back and bites them in a big way.

I liked the comment on the associated thread: "Dude is a textbook asshole, all the worst to him in the future." Guy's just angry at the world and sees himself as a victim. Maybe if he had a bit of civility or humility he wouldn't have found himself in that situation to begin with. Besides, he didn't get arrested for cursing but for failing to show his ID to police and resisting.
