Very Happy Birthday!
-
You said it yourself, Larry. Her actions may have saved your lives. I hope you both keep progressing well, and are able to look at this as a shitty blip in life. All the best!

http://www.russandrews.com/product-Silver-SuperKord-500-SD-II-1564.htm In the "Technology" tab.... Actually kind of cool, Craig. And it's not YOU pricing it so high and lathering on the marketing.....you contributed some design tech. But fuck, at that price you should get something more for royalty!

Quite the variety Doug! I need to go listen to some more Residents music....SO much stuff I've never heard.....

We call the snow rake a roof rake. I am very careful with mine, it looks like it could break pretty easily in this shit. Extends out a good 15+ feet with extensions. In other news, the latest picture of the pile on the back deck, courtesy of wife's phone.

Shelly, a plumber can also install a valve on the input pipes as well, cheaper than replacing the whole unit. We did that to help avoid a possible water issue. The only thing we need to remember is to turn the valve on/off when starting or completing a cycle.

Funny coincidence story..... Was selling my Chestnut Hill George table radio through CraigsList, a woman named JoAnne and her friend Vicky came by to listen and purchase. We talked about love of music and audio. Vicky mentioned her son was involved with manufacturing turntables, so I asked what company. She started to answer, "He's right here in Woburn...it's..." and I finished the sentence "...U-Turn...!" She was pleasantly surprised that I had heard of it, and very happy to hear it was recommended and well-received here. FWIW, she says they are very customer-service oriented, and many people (not just his mother, she laughs) think pretty highly of them.

RIP. I was sad to hear some bad stories about his new business and customers getting threats, delays and up-charges. But his products were near-legendary..... Don't have a Grado phone anymore, but will raise a glass tonight in his memory.

Not sure I agree with this..... -
^^ This Is The Sea is a fairly close second in my book, like them both a lot..... Now: some fun Greek Synthpop....2 by Marsheaux, the second being a complete cover of the Depeche Mode album of the same name....
-
Then: Diana Krall - Wallflower. Kind of meh, seems sellout-ish..... Now: Waterboys - Modern Blues. Not bad, but will anything reach the level of Fisherman's Blues?

That was just left in someone's back pocket, it's the iPhone "bend" issue.....still good......

Just went out myself and cleared out part of our non-plowed-area with Andrew. You're right, Haj, seems to have dropped several inches quickly. And it's fucking cold out too......went quickly through my scarf layer on my face....

Going to roof-rake today, just in time for that additional snow that Haj & Nate mentioned......lovely.....

I seriously think Mother Nature's New England contingent forgot about us for much of the late Fall & Winter, then said, "Oh, shit....have to make up for that....!"

RIP Rod McKuen......

Crap, Iain, sick going in, sick coming back.....how was the middle? Hope all is OK soon. EDIT: Nate, my wife and I are on AAA for reasons just like that. We even use them for occasional discounts.....

Ouch, ugly shit. No "lights on" alarm or auto-shut-off I'm guessing?

Not just today, but over the last couple days..... Had a chat with my mom who said a long-lost cousin was trying to get in touch with me through Facebook. Hardly get on anymore, but did, and sent a reply. The woman's name was familiar to me, and I found out she and I worked at the same company for ~4 months in the mid-90's. Her grandmother and my grandmother were sisters. So several email exchanges, a family tree on Ancestry.com, and a dropbox download of a recording made in 1977 during the Shiva visit for her grandmother. In that recording MY grandparents and the only other sibling I regularly saw (and her husband) were talking a lot about stories of the "old days" and the family. What a treat! My grandparents both died over 20 years ago, and the other aunt and uncle even before that.... Now we are working on plans to meet up with these long-lost cousins, and enjoying a romp through our family history! I love this stuff.....
