Happy Birthday!

Dang, I always thought it was BOZO....
-
For some reason been on a bit of a kick...one of several Fall albums....rehashing some of their early stuff....

Lumin just announced the P1 digital hub. Looks like the T2 streamer/DAC, but with lots of inputs (including balanced and RCA analog), and a linear PS....also adds a fiber network input that the X1 has. https://www.luminmusic.com/lumin-p1.html

I've bought a few times from TMR, decent folks to deal with. That price is about on par for a used T2, you may be able to negotiate with a person for slightly less.... But all that said, why get a T2 when the X1 is out there? 😄 (seriously, I moved from the T2 to X1 due to a nice deal on the X1; and it IS better....not sure SO much better for the price, but definitely better)

Re: Shatner.....everything is fun, but NOTHING will ever beat this:

I rarely find the full album of covers interesting, but the occasional gem does come through. I just listened listened earlier to two Psychic TV covers I thought were excellent: Pink Floyd's Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun and Beach Boys' Good Vibrations. Have not listened yet to the VU tribute album, though.

^^ Not what i expected! But I guess with a name like High Tension..... Fun stuff.....

RIP Richard H Kirk. Founding member of Cabaret Voltaire. Big influence on many bands....article below isn't sure of cause of death, but some had rumored COVID-related. http://www.musictimes.com/articles/82848/20210921/mystery-behind-richard-h-kirk-cause-death-die-covid-health.htm

RIP to Peter, sounds like a good man to know. And so sorry for your loss and RIP to your dad, Beefy. Sucks not to have been be able to see him or be there in person, but wish for good memories to hold onto forever. We were lucky that my mother-in-law was local; everyone was in driving distance and she got to see her family, especially her great-granddaughter in person I think 3 times, before she passed.

Sorry to you and family Craig! 18 1/2 years is a great run, thank you for taking such great care of her.

One of my best friends (Steve) came over from Cornwall England around 1978 or 1979, and with him brought The Jam's music to me and our mutual friends. Got to see them in 1980, great show; it was broadcast on a local radio station, and it included said Brit friend being recorded for a post-concert interview as we left the venue! Other great story is in 1977: for my Bar-Mitzvah party the DJ was playing pretty much disco, but everyone who attended got a promotional single by this group we had never heard of called The Jam. A promo copy of their first single, In The City, but with a stereo/mono version for side A/B. Steve pretty much flipped when he saw this, and we called a bunch of folks trying to find copies for him. I still have my copy....
