  1. Very Happy Birthday!!!
  2. Hope you both feel better soon, Shelly and Ric!
  3. Voena - Voices Of The Heart. Amazing children's choir, taking on some very good music, and doing it well! Fairly good recording as well...
  4. RIP Israel "Zuny" Zelitch. 99 years old, he was in the same Independent/Assisted Living facility as my mother-in-law. In times after his wife passed, and my father-in-law was gone, he was a wonderful companion to her. She passed in June 2021, he just passed today. A brilliant and fascinating man, not much for idle conversation but had some fascinating stories. Also a major part of local Yiddish organizations, and very well known in that community. Unfortunately he was unconscious soon after catching COVID recently, was moved to hospice where his son (wearing basically a hazmat suit) got to say goodbye. A woman from that Yiddish community was called and they held the phone to his ear while she spoke; he actually twitched his eyes several times. Shortly thereafter, he passed. One link with info about him: https://portal.ct.gov/CAES/ABOUT-CAES/Staff-Biographies/Israel-Zelitch Karen and I had met his son and daughter-in-law years back, when our kids went to the same after-school program. We also found out his son's wife was my neighbor growing up! We got to reconnect after we found out Zuny was his dad. Karen was able to share some stories about Zuny and her mom that his son was so thankful to hear. Just a wonderful family, and a fascinating man. RIP Zuny, you may have two women vying for your attention now! 🙂
  5. Agreed with ^^ My favorite comment on FB by a friend: "Next year, U2 should come out with Songs Of Retirement"
  6. Very Happy Birthday Al!!
  7. There's a very cute movie, She's Having A Baby; very clever IMO and I enjoyed both Kevin Bacon and Elizabeth McGovern in it. Kate's song This Woman's Work is very wonderfully placed in that movie. EDIT: the whole soundtrack is actually quite good.
  8. It's been a while since I pulled out any Led Zeppelin.....this is so fine! GREAT music!
  9. Hope it is/was an awesome birthday!!!
  10. I actually don't mind AudioGD stuff, have a couple of their cheaper items in the past. But every time I see their name I can't help but picture this in my head
  11. Steve, in reply to your "octave" comment 🙂 EDIT: I think I've seen that performer you linked previously....can't remember where....
  12. I have an ex-work-colleague who's good friend was caught up in that crap, and he's in jail now. He wanted to be a MA State Trooper but was getting too old, so someone suggested he try for Baltimore PD. He got in, and stayed pretty clear of the bad crap. But it roped him up, in that he got calls by crooked cops asking him to bring a spare gun to a scene and the like. And even though he didn't, the records show he got those calls so he was included in the prosecutions. A really sad state of affairs....
  13. Oh, man, my wife will especially be sad to hear that. RIP, and may his memory be a blessing.
  14. I've been loving some reaction videos, mostly to Heilung, recently. One favorite is a woman who goes by "The Charismatic Voice" and she is quite the Heilung fan-girl; she is amazing at picking music apart. Another was a woman, whose outburst of "Holy Shitballs" may be my single most favorite reaction expression....
  15. Holy shit....brilliant and scary at the same time....he's gooooood......
  16. RIP Marty, will raise a toast...sorry Mikey!
  17. Happy Birthday Mr. Dad and DIY'er!
  18. Rot in Fucking Hell.....glad to see this result, I WAS concerned that there was still missing evidence and they might not convict.....
  19. Hope it was a great one, Craig (or if you are still awake, "is" a great one 🙂)
  20. Kerala Dust - Violet Drive. Singers voice and the overall chill feel definitely reminds me some of The The, with modern touches....which is a good thing.
  21. I use a bureau to store some of my stereo cables. One drawer each for IC's, speaker cable, and power cords. Cleaned out my speaker cable drawer, as well as consolidated some cables I had in my closet.... This - plus 2 other sets not in pic - is extra....Jesuit Christmas, I'm a hoarder! 🙄😄
  22. The above 2 Mark's were indeed tough. Mark Lanegan, with various folks, did several very good Joy Division covers...makes me wonder if there was his "type" after Ian Curtis committed suicide, would he have been a good frontman for the band....
