  1. Due to its oft being played, I lost interest in Sabotage; indeed other songs on that album are great. We had a consultant working with us in 1994, he was a big Beastie Boys fan; we chatted music a lot. On one of the visits to our office, he joined me to see October Project in Cambridge, MA. Very different music, but he liked it a lot. For the next week he stopped singing/humming BB and hummed OP songs all the time.....
  2. Very Happy Birthday!
  3. Southwestern Tacocat and I wish you a happy birthday!
  4. ^^^ Love this album! Need to listen again soon.....
  5. ^^^ Must sound great, too....TBM plus the XRCD! Still regret to this day when I went to Japan in the 90's, I went to a high end shop in Akihabara.....they had a whole display of TBM CD's, and I didn't buy one..... IIRC prices were pretty good too!
  6. I used to like the old SDA series from Polk in years past. Fun to listen even if not super accurate. I imagine their newest iteration is quite a bit better, would love to hear some myself.
  7. I got an email from them....this does look interesting. But I do very little headphone listening now.... Their new phono pre (Skoll?) looked interesting as well!
  8. ^^ Sounds like it's worth going to the second half of the show. But I wouldn't give him my money.....
  9. RIP and Happy Birthday on the other side!
  10. Happy Birthday Santa Wayne!
  11. Very Happy Birthday Jim!
  12. Very Happy Birthday!
  13. Very Happy Birthday! (Time Zone belated 😄)
  14. Holy Shitballs! Just hope she can get to safety easily, secondary hope that things are OK with trailer....
  15. RIP Jimmy, sounds like an incredible person. Sorry for your loss Brent, as well to his family and other friends.
  16. ^^ OR, for when you really fucking hate your neighbors
  17. Such wonderful pictures! RIP Sophie, condolences to you and Yumi. Thank you for being such good humans for her!
  18. Sounds like great progress, Steve, wishing her and you all an easy time of things!
  19. Very Happy Birthday!
  20. ^^^ Me too!
  21. RIP Jimmy. Arguably a legend, though like Nate wasn't a big fan. Always loved his song Come Monday, though.
  22. ^^ I like their new album Blue Rev, and I have their debut as well. My son saw them (for the second time) about a week ago in Boston. He said they put on a great show.
  23. I miss Gizmo.....what a personality!
  24. I have my share of baggage from my parents' divorce, and my dad "kind of" being there but not 100%. At one point, I had some good sit-downs with him, and I determined that he had his own limitations. One VERY wise thing he said to me, though: "None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes. You just won't make the same mistakes I made...." Well said IMO.
  25. Those are still very good! I was lucky to have two older brothers into music. One was ~4.5 years older, and I got a lot of early taste from him (classic and country rock, and prog). But over time we 3 boys each found our own niche for musical tastes....
