That's why I'll probably get the 5S. My 4 is getting too slow. I was hoping for something more exciting than a fingerprint unlock and an extra 1/4" longer screen, but a solid OS is critical when it comes to phones.

Same here, I'm 43 and have big hands, so my preference is definitely for a bigger screen as I mentioned. I also understand that if someone has small hands and young eyes, the current size probably satisfies. That being said, a 1/2" extra would take care of it for me (not just stretched more but wider also). I don't think it’s just a choice between a monster screens or tiny. There's a happy in between.

I think you got it right. Keeping the screen small clearly has something to do with not wanting to satisfying enough to cut into iPad and mini sales. Almost all other phones are giving the real estate desired by the masses.

Am I the only one utterly underwhelmed by the 4S, 5 and now 5S? I've been wanting to stick with Apple for its software mainly, but I can't wait for another iteration to upgrade. I may have to go droid which I really don't want to do. The screen is eye torture small for me. And have we reached the saturation point where everything just gets a bit faster and more megapixels for each iteration?

^ This, and use Pocket for sites that I want to check out later. At work I just use the bookmark bar on Chrome or Firefox, no sync.
