  2. Can you change the brightness setting on the LCD?
  3. I think I'm going to go grab one at a local Target later today.
  4. Dang, I think you have more bodies than I have lenses. ^ In regards to Knuckle's post, maybe Canon will pull back on the megapixels. Unlikely, I know, but they did do it with the G series (and stayed with 10mp when they re-introduced the S series).
  5. Portishead - Dummy
  6. May or may not have lost my wallet. I won't be able to figure out if I just forgot to bring it with me to work today or if I dropped it somewhere until I get home. Argh.

For once, clicking on a link to Outlaw Audio sale didn't bring me to a broken website.
  8. Out of curiosity, has anyone here needed to clean a sensor manually yourself? While I haven't gotten any dust on my sensor yet (not any I can see), I'm wondering how hard (or not) it is to clean it yourself since there's no way in hell I'm sending mine back to Canon every time sensor needs a cleaning. EDIt - Ooo, pretty graphs. Must go read the article.
  9. Oh, I can do it at work in my office as I use a Windows machine at work. I just think it's amusing that during the whole training, they were talking about how convenient all of this will be for the employee to have access to timesheet/payroll/tax/vacation/HR/etc. info practically anywhere.
  10. Couple of days ago, we went through a training on using the new automated/web-based Payroll and Human Resources system as we're transitioning to it in couple of weeks. The system talks about how one can access any payroll and HR information as long as you have a computer with an internet connection. I just tried to log-in to my account only for it to tell me that I can do that unless I'm using Internet Explorer. I love these Internet Explorer-only web-based things.
  11. I like Cog. Especially because it doesn't implode on me (or take forever and half to open like iTunes).
  12. Doesn't quite belong in this thread, but has anyone used this thing? IDAPT - Innovative Solutions I'm tempted to get one but I'm bit worried about devices just sitting on its plug with nothing cradling/supporting them.

Roku HD-XR Player for $59.99 in Amazon Gold Box deal for next two hours. Amazon.com Gold Box: New Deals. Every Day.
  14. I played around with a S95 in a store yesterday. The handling was a lot better than I expected and the matte finish was grippy enough. I wish I'd remember to take my SD card so I could've taken some pics with it. How is the new Sigma 85?
  15. Nice. So what do you do when no planes are coming in?

  22. That was the rumor prior to couple of big industry events this year, but nothing came of it. While it's an old lens, most of the non-L primes from Canon are old (the newest/youngest non-L or non-macro prime was released in 1995).
  23. Never mind. Knuckles got to it and his examples would be far more useful mine.
  24. What's wrong with just getting a 35mm f/2? Yes, it's an old design without USM, but I think it's a perfectly capable lens. You can pick one up new for around $330, and on used market, I've seen ones as low as $230 which is practically nothing (relatively speaking).
