I've actually done that few times, mostly with more expensive and/or heavy items. Thankfully, I've never had to use them for any reason aside from wasting away space on my hard drive (until I delete them couple of weeks after the arrival).

Cannibalize some AKG cables?

Google "AKG screw-on 1/4 adaptor" and few places pop up that appears to carry the adaptor. Of course, it doesn't say anything about the 1/8" part.

Have you looked at audiocubes? IIRC, they have/had AT 1/4 adaptor, but don't know if it's a screw-on one.

The last time I had a sushi platter (or two), it was free. Good to have a mom who is a great cook. Of course, it requires driving 4-5 hours (one way) to my folks' place in Maine.

Yep. It was working just fine before the move to the house, too. Now, it periodically loses the music library database (forcing me to rescan the entire music drive/folder) and often skips during songs if I'd been using it for a while. Restarting the unit fixes the problems for a while, but they inevitably come back. I've gone through slimdevices forum for solutions, but none have worked so far. I think the issue may be a compatibility issue with my Airport Extreme, since it's the only device that has changed on my home network. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare wireless router right now to test that theory out.

I couldn't justify it either, as I like my 840C just fine and I could put $500 to a better use around the house. I wish my SB3 would stop acting up, though.

Prepping for a Duet? I almost grabbed one over the weekend when I was near the Guitar Center in Nashua.

Sanded, primed, then painted the bathroom walls. We can't wait till the bathroom is all done - shower section is getting done on Tuesday. After that, just need new toilet and sink.
