I found the best way out was just to avoid marriage altogether. Of coarse the added cost of razors to shave my palms does need to be factored in to be fair. Ditto. I don't have a real strong dislike for them, but they just didn't impress me in any way.

I sit on a single wooden dowel, to avoid as much reflection as is possible. Of coarse it's Walnut (Fir or Poplar just won't do for Dr. Wood). I like to round over the top end for ease of entry, and a poly finish is a must for cleanliness. As a warning, we've all heard of port chuffing... well this may cause some port chafing.

I've been sleeping with memory foam pillows for about 6 years, and a memory foam mattress for over 4 years. I love both and hate it when I have to sleep elsewhere. My pillows and mattress were bought from Sam's Club, and are the Sleep Innovations brand. Both are very good quality, and are like brand new to this day. The prices are excellent, especially for the quality of the product. Do expect an adjustment period, but it's a small one for the pillows (about a month for the mattress).
