  1. Jay, are there screws missing on your Original CDP faceplate? It looks as though both outer pairs are missing (the ones that hold the feet assemblies in place). If so, what's the deal? Looks like a fun meet!
  2. Does he have experience setting up tables/cartridges, or is he a newbie?
  3. He decided that the K1000 is better than those nasty ol' stats.
  4. Oh the inhumanity!!! Just teasing you bud. The other side of the coin is that there are now so many obese kids, due to inactivity. When I was a kid we were in the house for meals, then back out to play in the neighborhood until dark. It was a pretty good life in reality. On long car trips we had these odd things called books. Of coarse most kids probably don't grow up on a 5 acre lot, with a fast running creek in their back yard. We had a mountain lake that was about an hours hike, and two big dogs to haul gear for us. Growing up in Alaska was awesome!

Agreed, that Lotus is awesome looking!
  7. Interesting. I hadn't heard much about the SAC amp. Does it run hot?
  8. Is she aware that she's known here fondly as Keylime Pie Girl?
  9. Well we did have remote control when I was a kid, it was me. Being the youngest of three boys (my little Sister was far too precious to my Dad to actually do anything related to work), I was always called upon to change channels. It only really pissed me off when I had to change from something I liked. I still hear "Stevie Meevie turn on the TV" in my dreams. All of that hits home with me, I'm obviously the same age as the writer.
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. Who was in attendance at this meet? I'd like to hear about Renato's system, if he was there. Was there desert? What was it?

  13. I think that there are plenty of optimistic country songs. However since country is a direct descendant of the blues, it's not exactly a mystery why a good portion of the tunes are a bit melancholy. If Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown sang only happy tunes, his record sales would be in the toilet. It's our nature to want to know that others are dealing with some of the hardships we endure. Even if they live in a five million dollar home in reality. The genre is way too diverse to generalize, especially in the last 20 years. If you really scrutinize all genres of music, you'll find that country music is not disproportionate in terms of racism, current events or even trailer park antics. It's the genre that people love to kick around, even while record sales are at an all time high. Garth Brooks is surpassed only by Elvis in record sales for solo artists. That speaks for itself.
  14. Well I can't really quibble with your choice, but can we agree that it would be a tie between her and Jacqueline Susann?
  15. Cool! I think that was the best approach too. More versatile as well.
  16. I like his designs a lot!
  17. Big and awesome!!! Sweet job Kevin!
  18. The Left hand will work fine. You just have to change up your form to more of a twisting motion, instead of up and down. Was that graphic enough for everyone? Yeah, I'm really liking this thing! It's so nice to push one button and be watching TV.
  19. That's completely dependent on who's view point you're considering.
  20. Today I received and setup my Logitech Harmony Remote. This thing is awesome, nothing like universal remotes I had back in the day. I had it configured and working flawlessly in minutes via the PC. I love the one touch activities buttons!
  21. It was his cat doing the massaging.
  22. Happy Birthday Marc! New car?
  23. Sorry Fitz! Been there, done that, and it sucks. Put some good tunes on and make the best of it.
  24. Fingers crossed that you get it!
