  1. A light pasta dish with chicken and broccoli in a light olive oil and bullion sauce.
  2. Met Al, Claire, Sophie, Julia and Kaki at The Marshal Store for lunch. The oysters Rockefeller were pretty good, as was my pulled pork sandwich. Then off to Drake's beach to watch the Elephant seals. Also saw some large Elk near there, and a quite large Coyote. Then onto Pt. Reyes for a bit of browsing and buffalo ice cream and natural soda float.
  3. Absolutely delicious! This will become a regular for me.
  4. This looks so good that while it's cooling, I thought some homemade hashbrowns and iced coffee with Irish Cream Liqueur would be appropriate.
  5. This looks and smells amazing! Just letting it cool a bit before diving in. Firstly I must admit to altering the recipe on the first trial. I had some breakfast sausage on hand, so I cooked, crumbled and drained off the fat ahead of time, then added on the final blend of ingredients.
  6. I'll do the whole recipe, because it'll be easy to grab before work.
  7. Ingredients procured. Scheduled for tomorrow morning. Hopefully I won't screw it up.
  8. Thank you kind Sir! At Safeway as I type, buying ingredients for green chili, cheesy eggs.
  9. ^ Nice! On my list to try.
  10. Friday I work the later shift, so I made some sausage and cheese biscuits for sustainance to get through until a 2:00 lunch. And I'd love the basics of both dishes Nate.
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. A nice beef stir fry. And I didn't even make a separate thread about it! With rice.
  13. MoFi was on my route when I drove for DHL in the early 90's. It's less than an hour away. Al and I need to take a road trip. It was a fascinating place back then. Today I'm sure it's even more so.
  14. After I just realized that this is a separate thread. Not sure how I did that, but it wasn't intended to be so.
  15. I had extra frittata filling, so one more for myself and the neighbors. Spinach, bacon, broccoli, shitake mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and onion sautéed in a bit of balsamic vinegar & herb crusted goat cheese. Before baking.
  16. A NY steak, just a wee bit of sautéed mushrooms, sourdough baguette, baked potato and iced coffee with Irish Cream Liqueur.
  17. At Casa Bedecarre.
  18. Yet another cheesecake. This one is to take to the MOA compound tomorrow. I hadn't forgotten about them, but last I was there it was Dorothy's Birthday dinner, and I knew that Claire would be baking a Birthday cake. Like my maccaroni dish, this is something I believe I've perfected over the years. We'll see what the judges have to say.
  19. Had some shopping to do before work, so I stopped at a favorite diner of mine.
  20. Kickin' back with Maki on my lap, listening to good tunes. Maki's favorite? Nazareth of course. Hair of the Dog!
  21. Salmon, potatoes and zucchini.
  22. Not listening via speakers or headphones, but in my head I've been hearing Cher's "Believe" but in a Country format. I've been internally interpreting this for a few days now, with a baritone, male vocal. I think this song would lend itself to Country quite well.
  23. ^ Big mistake!!! Although I did have a delicious dinner at the MOA compound last night, I believe this taco salad to be the culprit. As it was much spicier than expected. I had a horrible night! Not only once, but twice, with no warning at all, I had two of the worst GIRD events I've ever had. The first one was about 1:00 am, when out of nowhere a river of lava came gushing through my esophagus onto my pillow. After cleaning that up, taking some acid reducers and allowing my esophagus to calm down (about an hour before I could even think about going horizontal again), I tried to go back to sleep, which I did successfully. Successfully until about 3:30 am, when river #2 did the exact same thing. No sleep after that and my throat is still raw. I coughed for two hours. Fast forward to 20 minutes ago when another river decided to take a different path. I barely made it onto the porcelain bomb containment device when an explosion that probably caused another California quake, created a not so coveted Jackson Pollock on the inside of said bomb containment device. And now I can feel a second atmospheric river beginning to stir. All I want to do is sleep, but I'm literally afraid to even try. Sorry about the graphic, too detailed mind paintings that I've gifted you.
  24. Facsimile machine powered up and ready!
