Not now, but this morning. This is a new discovery for me from Trader Joe's. On a toasted, buttered bagel, it's fantastic! A little goes a long way. I'd imagine it'd also be wonderful on vanilla ice cream.

Only now am I seeing Zoe on the cake. 🤔 Oh well. I'd be reluctant to drink an amber liquid with a label that says Golden Goat. Maybe that's just me?

I got into Chris Isaak early. His first video was in '85, and I bought the album immediately. Bought all other albums as they came out. I have probably mentioned that I ran into him in '93 at a little cafe near the Great Hwy. And saw him in concert in Portland around '91. Dude was sexy as fuck! And I'm not usually attracted to masculine, straight guys. Two of the best pickers ever!

I like the original, but this version eclipses it IMO. The video brings even more emotion to the song. Even Trent said that the song was no longer his song, after seeing this video. Oddly enough when Rick Rubin, along with other songs, first sent it to Johnny he got no response. So, he sent another tape of songs, with Hurt as the first song on the tape. Still no response. Finally he just outright told Johnny that he thought it would be a great song for him to record. By this time he trusted Rick, so he agreed to record it. I think it's one of his best works.

Won't argue that, but will add that Etta James comes in 2nd place. Some of my favorite Billie recordings are those from later in her life. Her voice is diminished for sure, but you can hear and feel the pain even more.

My favorite router table plan is still the Woodsmith plan that Al and I built 6 1/2 years ago.

I really do think that a router table is something that should be built as apposed to bought. It's a pretty basic project, and it's great to build to the size your shop will accommodate. And accessories can be built to need.

Working on a Factory Trawler in the Bering Sea, with lots of Norwegians on board, I find in general that Norwegian wood tends to be smallish. Not that that's a bad thing. I don't like any competition in that realm, and as I've stated many times my real interest lies around back.

I found a 'new to me' woodworking channel on YouTube. It's a Norwegian guy that builds most of his projects out of Pine. Now projects from Pine don't really peak my interest, but it's difficult and very expensive to get other woods in Norway. Even Maple and Walnut are exorbitantly priced there. He doesn't do a lot of voicing in his videos, which also doesn't really appeal to me. Most of his projects are pretty basic, though he does seem to have some skills. Actually I can't seem to pinpoint what it is I like about watching his channel? Meet Are Baloni.
