Alone, neither were terrible per se, but compared to their first album, Out Of Myself... thats like comparing Heritage to My Arms, Your Hearse - a colossal buzzkill. I have great respect for the band (my God, they are awesome), but I really hope they do not go Opeth on me. The track titles, the album title, and Mariusz's Steven Wilson-esque disdain for modern lifestyle infused song topics are really scaring me though. I really hope my fears are unfounded.

At last! Dead Can Dance's new album "Anastasis" has been released. It is fantastic!

I was at that concert in Devore. It was quite an event. Long story short, Bruce Dickinson made some remarks regarding the state of Ozzy and their TV show throughout the tour, and Sharon retaliated by having "fans" pelt the band with eggs and having the PA power cut numerous times during their set at that concert date. After the set, Sharon came onstage and called Bruce a prick and told her side of the story. Needless to say, the fans were not pleased. There were MANY Maiden fans there. The Sabbath set went on like nothing happened.

To mention Audioquest and Grover's products in a thread titled "Ghetto Cables" made me laugh. Just go to an online place like Bluejeans Cable, get what you need, and be done with it. Once you start trying to listen to differences in cables, you might as well hang yourself with them.

Of course the story was forced, but probably not from the singer. Everything on network TV is forced. This guy is the classic "shy outcast who copes by singing" story, but he can sing. He appears to be a nice guy, he's not afraid to look different, and he can sing something that is counter to his looks and predominant age group musical preferences. More power to him, I say.

Saw it. I hope he stays with that look and see where it takes him. Great singer, and for the love of everything good, please stay with true Opera. None of this sell-out adult contemporary crap.

That is AWESOME, blessingx! I am definitely using that next year in my class. Thanks Dusty, the Appalachians are pretty dominant in that area. Not that tornadoes are stopped dead in their tracks by mountains (because many have tracked into the southern Appalachians), the area around WV disrupts the ingredients necessary for tornado formation.
