I assumed you received something for free from CattyLink based upon your kiss reply to Biggies comment. If I am wrong, my apologies. So many reports! Is that other shit also include the E5 or the Saturn? Curious
 -
Wow, anyone post these reports on Head-Fi? It isn't completely inconceivable to me since I've heard the MPX3 with stock tubes sound like well let's just said not good, and then with a good configuration of NOS tubes it sounded much much better in comparison. Anyone ever report to you that the SP models (big category) sound better than the Bada 12 or Doge 6210? Wow, you too! I've seen some share these reports publicly instead reporting them directly to you. Anyone, ever report to you anything positive about doc or Chinese amps or unflattering about SP? A lot of purported reported reports going on. guilty kiss

Art helped me with my E5 repairs. He mailed an E5 replacement transport. I swapped the transports and the source worked flawlessly thereafter. On another front, Art found a Rega dealer offering the lowest prices I

I've owned both and the RS-1s are easily better. I would have kept the RS-1s, but for the wood selection and wood workmanship issues were too much for me. The older RS-1s are far superior, IMO, and not just cosmetically either. I
 -
Can't wait to hear what you think about the GS-1000s with the ZD. I should also mention I prefer the HD650s over both in my rig.
 -
I like the RS-1s, but the lack of soundstage is a pisser. I used bowls so possibly flats might be different. Also, Grado's current RS-1 woodwork and wood selection isn't as good as it was about two to three years ago and on the previous RS-1s.

When I first heard the GS-1000s at the HE Show in LA on Tyll's HeadRoom amps, particularly the Max, I liked it. It was extremely comfortable, had a huge soundstage, and pretty balanced presentation. So I bought them. Yet in my system under quieter listening conditions the bass was overpowering and at times bloated, the mids were recessed, and the low level details weren't present. It had a much brighter and harsher upper frequency then I remembered. I would get listening fatigue within about half an hour or so. After about two months of pumping music through them 24 hours a day, I sold them because I didn't really like them. In my system the RS-1s sound better and I prefer them over the GS-1000s.

I've only heard an early pair (#444); as of yet, not the later pairs. I am just repeating what I've read and seems to be overlooked or fails to get mentioned. Did you hear them back-to-back on the same set-up? As with most if not all audio gear the gains are usually diminished with the more it costs. -
Thanks for bringing back pdx-dk05 nice post count!

Also some people can't get a good seal with the W5000s. I couldn't. -

jpak, what source? Substantially diverging impressions requires one to hear it instead of relying on another -

The two best closed headphones I -
Buy it Especially if it's reasonable priced. It's probably the finest headphone ever made coupled with the fact they aren't made any longer and extremely difficult to come by. You'll always have the option to sell it probably at least what you bought it for if not more. I thought the KGSS is a really fine amp when I heard it paired with the HE60.

I really like his woodwork. And that is a fine looking stand. what much did it cost?
 -
I was joking around and intentionally overstated things. I doubt an explanation would alter your impression that those terms are not unlike, but since you asked I meant freak-out as a wildly irrational reaction and heebie-jeebies as a nervous fear or anxiety.
 -
The album didn't freak me out, but gave me the heebie-jeebies because she has such a grim and forbidding glance and all those big bugs I don't know what's next, I wish I knew.
 -
Please bring back those other themes particularly pdx-dk05. The layout and look here is too Head-Fi reminiscent and it's really starting to freak me out.

Quite possibly the biggest single headphone stand ever

It's a beautiful piece of woodworking furniture/headphone hook/stand radiator cover thing, but sure seems like a fire hazard. -
That source is awesome. It stood up very well against the Saturn. And it's DVD capabilities were fantastic. I still want to upgrade my DVD player since it didn't do my HDTV justice like the 3910. CONGRATS!

will all the themes that we use to have be restored?

How much difference does cables make in your system?
909 replied to deepak's topic in Audio Accessories
How can the wavyern silver cables greatly hurt just the tone of trumpets and brass instruments, but absolutely nothing else? I could understand if it was hitting a higher frequency with the brass instruments, yet if it?s specific to brass tones that's something I've never heard and seems odd. -

You are going to make yourself cable crazy. Are you serious 1-year? 25? which cables? What is the purpose... to find a cable you like; see if you can tell the difference between different cables; or if you can blindly pick what type of cable it is, be it by name brand or the particular internal metal used?
