  1. Yeah, I guess that was my main concern. Since there really isn't a file system, how does one easily access these docs? But I suppose there's an app for that...
  2. 1) That's really pushing what I would consider a general understanding of "late April." The "VERY LAST DAY OF APRIL" would have been more like it. 2) Further to Ryan's comment above, to what extent can the iPad be used as a PDF repository. For example, could I easily store all my user manuals on it?
  3. That reminds me, I keep meaning to get the QB-9 to shove it inside the PWD.
  4. Those pictures are intensely amazing.

I'm in for the HC Suite. Sweet. I'm also going to try to upgrade my room. And now I'm going to have a drink.
  6. So what exactly does that mean? Is this just the placeholder charge?
  7. Update: There will indeed be thunder in my pants, but the Pantsmeister is understandably not able to crank these out on a moment's notice. So until then, I am going to bridge the gap with either the Shure or the Denon 2000. The 7000 is just too much $. I remember hearing it on Yikes's rig and not loving it. So between the Shure and the 2000, what say you wise ones?
  8. He will be disappeared within 6 months.
  9. Dusty, I saw it, too. And you were right; it's important to see just how big those things are in person. I could never get away with wearing it. So I got something smaller. Nice watch, though.
  10. Bumping this to see if anyone has further suggestions. I'm looking for something with a very easy to use interface that makes photosharing stupid easy. pbase and mobile me are not doing it for me. Is flickr still good? I also don't want to be bombarded with ads and other people's ridiculous photos.
  11. Some decent prices on the refurb MBPs.
  12. I'm glad it happened. I think Apple's secrecy sucks. But even more sucky is Apple's deliberate dissemination of misinformation. I think their behavior in this regard arguably violates the securities laws.
  13. It will magically transform because I will own it at that point. Chalk it up to burn-in.
  14. Interesting idea. Instead of all this "woodied" FOTM stuff, someone should offer "roofied" phones.
  15. You signature just made me laff.
  16. Ah, missed that Nate. I've had the chance to use Katie's MB and I really like it. Sometimes I wish the screen were bigger, but overall it is a very nice machine.
  17. The HD650 out of Bozebutton's Zana is one of my favorite combos. I'm going to try to convince my Dad that is his next step.
  18. That's helpful. I sort of recall thinking the same thing at CJ08, but my memory is not exactly to be trusted. I have a line on the 7000, but I don't know if I can get them for less than $600 and that money seems better spent on Thunderpants. Perhaps I should get a D2000 for a little bit.
  19. BBQ on Friday it is! Marked on my calendar.
  20. Will you get one, Jin?
  21. Nate, I'm still having similar thoughts. But I'm also having trouble imagining what exactly I'd need a MBP for. In my previous jobs it would have been a no-brainer: MBP. But I travel much less now and work in a much less tech-savvy environment, meaning that my working remotely is not necessarily an easy thing (thank god). So I'm left with some challenges to figure out exactly why I would need the horsepower of a MBP. What I do often find myself wanting is something that will turn on in an instant, so I can check my email, the weather, sports scores, and Head-Case. I think that means that the iPad is for me, and I just also want a MBP, but really am not enough of a power user to really need it. I think. EDIT: Also, I have not yet received the 3G email. That does not make me happy.
  22. My advice is to buy at least 10 DACses and have them haunt you until you can't take it anymore.

    ^What he said.
  24. Shelly, what didn't you like about the Denons?
  25. Ok, gang. The short short list appears to be thus: Thunderpants D7000 Shure I consider the CD3000 one of those phones I'll just buy if I have the opportunity so they don't really count here. EDIT: And, Colin, I love the idea of you walking around an airport in those.
