I'd be impressed if it shows up in your measurements.- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
which part? When I tested the real A1486, I inserted it into the tester with the back side of the transistor facing me. (The face that interfaces against the heatsink)- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
Yeah, 70V on the 2SA1486 is some wonky readings. That side is busted.- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
I just tested the stock of A970 and C2240 that I bought from bdent a year ago. A970 on the PNP-V(BR)-1000V settings: 208V C2240 on the NPN-V(BR)-1000V settings: 183V- Happy Birthday Stretch!!
Happy Birthday!- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
I'm sitting on so much trash parts it's trash parts kingdom around here. You can find it in the datasheet under maximum voltage, which is rated at 600V.- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
posting pictures of the fake 2SA1486: breakdown voltage: (real ones have Vbr at around 700V) back side: (notice epoxy sloppily applied) front side: (The dimples are rubbed out on some devices indicating the original print is scoffed off. In fact, the real device look completely different.) all 70 of these things go in the garbage can. They were sourced from utsource.- Vintage Headphone Brands?
No no, they are clearly iems.- Happy Birthday deepak!
Happy birthday Deepak!- KGSSHV, Balanced Dynahi Rev A and DynaFET board run
I should share this... This BOM is setup for 500V power supply with the ixys ccs. Save a copy and use the status column to keep track of your progress.- Holy Crap! The New Stax Omega Looks fierce! (Stax SR-009)

They are very close. Most of them measures somewhere near 99.8~99.9k, while these ones are closer to 99.5~99.6k. I do see a lot of manufacturing variations, but these ones appears consistently and distinctively different. I guess it's just a different batch?- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
Just out of curiosity, has prp ever changed manufacturing methods on their PR9372 line resistors? A couple resistors I got are different from the rest in that they are just slightly shinier, is more of a bottled shape versus the pill shape of the rest of the resistors, and all of them have the ends covered with insulation, while most of the other ones have exposed ends that is not covered in insulation. These thinner ones measure just slightly less than the rest of the 100k values.- slower forum
those last four digits are 2143.- Heath Kit returns
Looks like Heath kit will be coming back to business. Source Has anybody played around with heathkit's stuff back in the day?- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
The 2SK216 I have from pacific semi is marked 6 H6, so they seem to have two different batches of these devices. Does your devices have the circular dimple in the center? Mine was clearly rubbed out.- Which Cooking Are You?
Congee. I am very sick right now.- IPB 3.2 Upgrade
Thanks for that. I usually had to tap on the subforum tab to bring me to the list of threads, then tap the actual thread title, this always brings me to the last unread.- IPB 3.2 Upgrade
Yes, it appears that clicking a thread link in the view new content brings you to the first post instead of bringing you to the post that you read last. Same behavior in the mobile theme.- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
I cry... : I basically have a stockpile of all these fakes sitting around already...- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
Those are genuine Renesas devices I believe.- Holy Crap! The New Stax Omega Looks fierce! (Stax SR-009)
