The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
Hopefully Renesas' minimum purchase quantity ain't too bad.

No. Pacificsemi has fakes as well. They are tempered devices that have the front scrubbed and reprinted. Cancel your order! The same treatment has been applied to both J74 and K216, so I'm guessing both stock are fakes.

I can tell you to avoid utsource. The K216 they sent me were different from their image on the website, and were clearly counterfeit.

digital attenuator
That one is a little outdated. There are newer resistor values a couple pages back. (24.3k impedance vs. 10k in the older BOM, I think?)

KGSSHV, Balanced Dynahi Rev A and DynaFET board run
The chassis I am working on is the 3U 400mm deep chassis. You can probably use the 300mm chassis to cut the heatsink tapping cost (because the 300mm chassis have the sink in one piece) and place the transformer and switches in a separate box for better noise rejection. Those three boards are the power supply stack for the arduino and 12V relays, arduino board for controlling the attenuator boards, and a solid state relay for power switching. I'm planning on using the KG attenuator in this build, and I'd like to control the power switching with the arduino that controls the attenuator boards as well.

It does. Transformer diameter is actually bigger for 125mA secondary... So assuming that there are no issues with hum, I think I'm going to mount the attenuator boards on the back panel.

Just curious, have you had any sort of issues with hum or noise with the transformer so close to the inputs?

Give it a few weeks. It has to arrive in your country's postal system before it will show up in the tracking system. Mine didn't show up until a week ago.

Tyll, I'd be interested to see if differences between amps can be measured with your setup. If you need a KGSSHV I can definitely send one your way along with my sr-507 in a few months. spritzer and I could probably coordinate who sends which version of the KGSSHV.

Something still related to search: I was trying to search using the forum option, but all the links points me to the first post of a thread. Could we change this to have the thread links point to the post that contains the matching keywords? Thanks!

Google to buy Motorola Mobility for $12.5 Billion
It was the first thing that came into my mind when I read this story. They are already being investigated for their search practices, and somehow I don't think this move will bode well with the regulators.

god damn it! Well, the D version of these parts are out of stock at all the major distributors and mouser marked it as obsolete. Any substitute for this part?- Happy Birthday Tyll!
