The HD600 might sound a bit boring to you when unamped, especially when used for games and movies. I would look into a Beyerdynamic DT770/80 Pro, or maybe the 32ohm version of the '05 model. I believe either of these can be found for <$200, and I know for a fact the Pro sounds great with games. They are circumnaural closed phones. Actually the absolute best can I have found for games is a properly amped Grado GS1000, but $1000 for a gaming phone is a little extreme.

In more current news, the initial results of this first batch of 007MK2s are disturbing. I thought it might just be a bad pair until Stax USA said they were having the same problems with all of them. I've been tempted to buy an MK1 from pricejapan before the silver mk2 replace it next month.

the thing is it really does just get funnier and funnier. season 1 is the weakest season, and its still amazing. 2 is freaking fantastic, 3 is amazing, and 4 is making out to be the best season yet. I hope this show is on for a million years.
