  1. My rather messy point to point wiring version:
  2. I have my transformers made locally. The maker learned it the hard way when I asked them to make the transformers for my DIY T2. In total, we burnt 5 transformers. So now when I ask them to build me transformers for electrostatic amps, they know that that have to over specs everything. Wachara C.
  3. Oh yes! I actually forgot about the +500V that is readily to use. Thanks very much for pointing that out. About the 1000Vp-p, I guess I'll just have to be very careful with that. Wachara C.
  4. Thanks guys. This amp will take Stax and HE90. I've put an additional 5M resistor for HE90 bias. Should I make another 500V bias voltage for HE90 or will it be OK with 580V? Wachara C.
  5. My second KGSSHV is done. Still need to tidy up all the wirings though. Wachara C.
  6. Hi Tran, What is the size of your bottom plate?
  7. Things like that happen. Hope all go well now.
  8. My SR202 sounds as good as my SR407, IMO.
  9. The meeting looks like a lot of fun. The photos are great.
  10. Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing Purk. Wachara C.
  11. I don't have a SR007, but listening with my Omega clone and Orpheus clone, DIY T2 sounds warmer and more pleasant by quite a margin. Wachara C.
  12. The problem isn't the corroded stators. The coating on the diaphragm often deteriorates over time. If you want to fix it, you'll need to recoat your diaphragms. By the way, how can you tell that the stators are corroded without opening them up? Wachara C.
  13. I checked everything on mine, and I can't really find anything wrong either. But it just won't adjust any voltages. I now start to think that it could be the fault at PCB or the plate through holes. Wachara C.
  14. I took out the VRs, and a few TRs around active battery. I couldn't find anything wrong with them, and so I put them back. One channel worked but the other didn't. No matter how I turn the VR, the active battery voltage stays at max.
  15. In the beginning, I had this same problem on both channels. I took out some parts to measure and put back. And somehow one channel worked. But the other channel didn't. I've sent it to a friend to help me trouble shoot now.
