  1. Got caught in traffic coming to work because of the UN meeting. Damn them for congesting Midtown East to a crawl.
  2. If that's the case, tell a mod and they will allow your change to the post. They've been saying that from the beginning that if it's a valid change, they're open to it.
  3. The only time I think someone should be able to edit their posts is the FS section. Other than that, there's no reason to edit a post after even 1 minute (just to correct spelling errors or whatever).
  4. So what happens when the Oyako isn't good enough? I had a real shitty Oyako Don this past Tuesday. =[
  5. Logitech G5 that has a broken laser. =[ Waiting for RMA, actually, I'm waiting for Buy.com to approve of cross-sending so that I can still qualify for the Logitech rebate.
  6. I would never use f2.0 for more than 1 person.
  7. Where are you standing. At 10 feet, it's 4" dof.
  8. My 85 1.8 @ f2.0 is sharper than any of my zooms at f3.5 (I have 2 f2.8 zooms). f2.0 is a huge difference when there's not alot of light.
  9. Went to an interview in the morning and am back at work.

    True Blood

I fell asleep watching ep 3 and I think it's the best one so far.
  11. Oyako Don. I love that shit.
  12. The advantage of the 50 1.4 pictured above would be the f1.4. You'd be able to take non-flash pics due to the wide aperture that the lense is able to achieve. Also, primes are usually sharper than zooms (though some people say that's not the case these days). As for blurring out the background in manual mode, it's the same as in other modes. If you're in Av or Tv, look at your settings. Put it the same in manual and you'll get the same results. Easiest way is to play with your camera. Large aperture and close focus will achieve more blur. From there, play with your settings. Use a depth of field calculator to figure out how much of your subject is in focus. i need ramen!

Friends chose to go to Momofuku by St. Marks this past Friday. The soup was ridiculously salty, to the point where I could only eat half of my ramen. Their steamed buns with shiitake mushrooms was off the hook.

    True Blood

I thought the first two were ok, nothing special. I do like how each episode ends though. Makes me look forward to the next.
  15. Tell your friend to get the unlimited cell plan for $100.
  16. Damn, that sucks. How'd it happen?
  17. Yup, I'd prefer a 12 or 15mp @ 6.5 (like the 40D) or even 8 fps as opposed to the 21 mp @ 3.9 fps.
  18. I'm a cropper. =[ I suck at framing.
  19. I think 12-15 is more than I'll ever need. I wish Canon made a D700.

    Custom IEM's

Oh, the head-case bunch have taught me that much, I just couldn't find an exact spec of the sensitivity. I was only able to find a post where someone posted the impedance of the Livewires.

    Custom IEM's

My mistake, they are 22 ohm impedance, ~118-120 db sensitivity.

    Custom IEM's

Hard investment considering I've never heard it before. =[

    Custom IEM's

I'm interested in the Livewires as well, but 16 ohm worries me about too much hissssssssss.
  24. I watched episode 2 of True Blood last night. God I can't stand the gap between Anna Paquin's teeth. I have mixed feelings about the show. I'm curious as to what's going to happen, but I'm not excited to watch the show. It's an odd feeling.
  25. House. How are you guys liking Fringe? A few friends of mine have been telling me to watch it.
