Yea, I just hit the first big crossover in season 1 of Angel. It was a pleasant surprise and I was happy with the episode. I actually found Season 5-6 of Buffy to be my favorite (mid way through 5 and first few eps of 6). Season 4 is was kind of blah for me.

I won't say that Grado's are dark compared to DT880's or K701's, actually, I don't agree with that statement at all. I find my RS-2's to be just as "clear", but not as resolving as my K701's. They're different and I enjoy them alot.

I have a question then about the 650's. At the NY meet this past weekend, I was listening to the 650's on 2 setups. 1. Meridian G08 -> RSA Apache (balanced) 2. Audio Research Transport -> DAC1 -> SP Supra XLR (balanced) On setup #1, it was overly bassy and extremely lush. I don't want to use the word "veiled," but that's probably the best word I can think of. On setup #2, the bass was impactful, but not overpowering, the highs were great and there was a sense of clarity over setup #1 that felt like I just took earplugs out at a concert. Would you say it was the source (DAC1 has a reputation of being bright while the G08 has a reputation of being warm and smooth), or would you say it's the amp?

Yea, I didn't want to touch anything to see why it was only playing on one channel, so I left it as is and just walked away. And damn, that really sucks. Is the cable toast? Was there any damage to your headphones?

The meet was alot smaller than I expected. I went to listen to the Cary 303/O2 setup, but could only get sound out of one channel, so I just put it back down and moved on. I listened to vcoheda's setup and on his, I couldn't listen to the HD650's/Zui(?) cable for more than a few seconds. (Meridian G08 -> Apache) I did enjoy the HD600's/Cardas cable alot. It sounded great, or at least I thought it did. Then I listened to the AR Transport -> DAC1 -> Supra with HD650's and it blew everything away. It was really just awesome sounding and probably the only time I've ever liked the way the HD650's sounded. I only listened to the HE1.2b's/SS amp for a minute or so, and it was some Norah Jones song that someone else was listening to on the HE1.2b's/Woo amp, so I'm not sure entirely how much I like it, but what I can say is that it's ruthlessly revealing. Wow that CD was mastered horribly, either that or the HE1.2b/SS amp was fucked up. I think the Grace m902 sounded fantastic as a 1 box setup. The bass is great on it and I think I prefered it to the MPX3 that was right next to it. But then I enjoyed the O2/McAllister amp next to that... all running off a MSB Platinum CD player.

Oh man, I didn't know Las Vegas was cancelled...
