I don't think you void your warranty by changing HD's. I remember reading Sony made it very easy for user's to change it themselves.

That's because there are so many other options in other languages, especially english. But when it comes to Chinese... your options are VERY limited, and Beyond is the creme of the crop at the time.

The only reason I'd say X Japan isn't bad is because they inspired the band Beyond.

I actually somewhat agree with him. If anything, extend your estimated ship date so that it covers possible vendor supply problems. This way, it will always fall in line with your estimated ship date.

Some burn it did affect my K701's, but nothing along the lines of 700 hours... I'd like to say more like, 50 hours. I actually just let them play for a week here and there and then listened again and there was a bit more bass. That's about all the changes that I had and it was welcomed. Aside from that, it's been the same headphone since it came out of the box.
