I think we just had a small earthquake, anyone else feel it?
  2. Can't say about the looks (if that is what you meant) since it is a pcb/sound card type thingy and I couldn't get close enough to view the back of the unit, not that I would know what I was looking at anyway. As for sound, it is very much ready for prime time, with the caveat that this was at a Audio geek event with a fair amount of ambient geek chatter and a lot of bodies in the room messing with the acoustics. Having said that, and the fact that I was not able to get a seat in the sweet spot, the bridge handled the files/music extremely well. Paul ran the PW Transport Dac and Bridge through their paces using his iPad and the PS Audio iPad apps. Paul said the iTouch and iPhone will work as well but with the smaller screens all the track info, album cover graphics and liner note/bio info will not look as cool. This is definitely something to consider if you are looking for a very cool gui, flexible music source playback, and extreme ease of use.
  3. Just returned from a LA Audio Society meeting featuring Paul McGowen demoing his new PS Audio Bridge, the first showing in North America. Paul just returned from Europe where he was touring and showcasing the Bridge to dealers and the public and that is why he could not attend CanJam. The PerfectWave transport and DAC were connected to a EAR Preamp, Monoblocks and Magico M5s, playing a number of 24/174 and redbook files and the system indeed did not suck.
  4. Got it! Thanks, now for the cigars.
  5. That was the one the concierge recommended as having "really good food and beer". He must moonlight as a Stereophile reviewer.
  6. Crap! I forgot to buy tires.
  7. Congrats Stretch! Tonight I will toast you with a glass of wine. Actually I would toast anyone or anything with a glass of wine tonight since this is what I seem to be doing on a regular basis but now sems like as good a time as any to make this gesture, take it with a grain of salt.
  8. Well you have the right build for Italian suits and Armani dosen't come cheap ya know.
  9. Wut? Did you win that in Sundays raffle?
  10. Damn that sucks Jeff, does your insurance cover the damage? I hope you have the appropriate rider.
  11. Ehh, I am waiting for the 3D version.....................
  12. Please....... Tyll has given new meaning to the term "moon shot"
  13. Silly boy, that is the key part of Shelley's algorithym that she used to win all that gear at CanJam. You need to drink more Pilsner and pay attention.

    That's what she said..........
  15. Well this thread proves it, this place is pretty cool and I am glad to have met you all you fine folks at CanJam. I hope we can all stay friends through future CanJams in whatever iteration they become. Steve you are a pretty cool guy and I had a great time talking to you and learning how you almost became a popsicle.
  16. I think they have a great amount of detail but as Boomy said, the ad2Ks appear to me to be system dependent. For example the EC balancing act and the Zana have made really nice pairings with K701s, hd 650s and W1000s. Heck the Metric Halo headphone amp made the K701s sound the best I have ever heard since DigiPetes DynaHi. Go figure
  17. Bookmarking this for Sunday am post.

*hmmmm, what to do if those voices return during CanJam*

Clearly I am shocked, I never knew this was part of CanJam past. I must watch myself since there is obviously far more to CanJam than has been posted; I thought John's spl meter thingy was just for measuring speakers.

Make sure you pack enough haggis.
  21. And unlike most everyone here, she has probably seen you neked. Nurses make good friends, trust me on that.
  22. Ohhhh, I was expecting another chef knife post.
  23. Woohoo Flyers! Go #20.
  24. Well I can't build an amp, understand a schematic drawing or know how to populate a pcb but I can damn well handle a venomous reptiles. If I do say so myself, I am very photogenic in that pic.
  25. Beats mowing the lawn I guess, glad I hadn't opened the wine yet. I am pretty sure it is way over three feet long. Not that anyone cares, but I just found a second one of approximately the same length. So far I am at three for the year. Should be an interesting summer.
