I"m not trying to get into an argument. I'm sure you guys have legit reasons for not liking halo but it just blows my mind that there are people out there that just didn't like it. To me not only is it the best console shooter out there but it is by a mile. Even after all these years I'll play assault on the control room in co-op mode.
-
anybody that thinks halo is repetitive didn't play the first one on legendary. The only repetative parts were the levels that heavily involved the flood. Now the halo two is a who other story. I'm really looking forward to this falls videogame line up. Halo 3 mass effect, bioshock lost odyssey, time shift, assassin's creed and beautiful katamari.

I just finished the aqua teen hunger force movie and it was rather mediocre unfortunately.

you know the w5000's get pretty good reviews over on head-fi.

Ha, I love that this guys first thread turned into a ray bashing thread in by the end of the first page.

No, we're teasing you for making such a preposterous thread.

yeah no kidding, happy birthday dude.

you just made the baby kitten jesus cry.

Both dudes in those photos look the same but if you're gay and have to marry dude than I'd say pick the one on the left. He looks much more sporty.

I've read on the hydrogen audio forum that bacon salt really needs burn in. They recommend putting half the bottle in your mouth and keeping it there over night every night for a couple months.

Wierd monitor problem
Chekhonte replied to Chekhonte's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
absolutely. It is a relief that it's fixed, i just wish I would have thought of using the old drivers first! On another plus side now that my windows is new and shiny and I have another gig of RAM, it's never been more responsive. I just uploaded a few gigs of music onto my mp3 player and it did it in about half the time as normal. -

OK so let me tell you what a horse fucker I am. I reinstalled the drivers and the problem wasn't fixed. I unplugged my videocard and plugged it back in, nothing. I pullled out the new RAM I installed, again nothing. I reinstalled fucking windows and the problem wasn't fixed. It turns out that the goddamn new NVIDIA drivers are the problem. I found some older drivers and it works like a peach. FUCKING HELL!!!!!!!! -
Wierd monitor problem
Chekhonte replied to Chekhonte's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
what's also wierd is that this only happens using the montors native resolution 1440 x 900. In all other supported resolutions the desktop is centered and not extended off screen. I'm so angry that only this emoticon can express my true rage!!! -
I have a flat panel display using a DVI connector with a nvidia 6 series card. I moved my computer and when I plugged it back in as soon as windows booted up past the welcome screen the monitor lost siad "no signal". I booted it in safe mode and reinstalled the drivers and it booted fine but now the desktop is stretched out past edge of the monitor. If I move the mouse to the far right the screen scrolls to the right to reveal the rest of the desktop. Sorry if that isn't understandable I'll try to explain it better if this cannot be understood. The problem is that 1) my monitor is no longer in native resolution (1440 x 900) becaue it's being stretched and looks bad. Second I don't want to have to scroll all over the place to see everyting i need. Is there a way to fix this. I don't know what vocabulary to use to find a solution using google so I'm hoping somebody here will know what to do. So far i've tried changed the resolution back and forth and re booting it. I'll try reinstalling the drivers to make sure that's not the problem. One last thing, I also just upgraded my physical ram but can't imagine that would be the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So if we're all ip unnbanned from head-fi it stands to reason that all the con artist's IP have also been unbanned. I wonder if any of them will return.
-
No, I meant head-fi. I've noticed that there are way more obsesive compulsive people over at head-fi than here. Just look at the for sale forums. What I like about headcase is that the fastest moving thread is "what are you listening to right now".
-
I've noticed this for a long time on head-fi but the last 5 or so threads in this topic have really driven it home. what games are you playing?, Post what you're watching, What are you EATING right now?, book-buying compulsion, Post the last thing you bought!, and What are you reading now? These are all grade A compulsions to disassociate from our emotions on top of our big obsessive compulsive disorder, audiophilia. So to make a long story short, tell us how baddly you were abused as a child.

I have about 30 books by chekhov by different translators, 4 copies of Don Quixote again different translations and multiple copies of several copies of different samuel beckett books just because I liked the way they look. I spend about 150 dollars on used books a month which is a ton for my income.
