I heard 140 EUR so you're probably in the right ballpark I like the information pamphlets, exquisite printing of Birgir's website

Schiit Yggdrasil
I would use the bnc input, toslink typically introduces a ton of jitter by its implementation* alone I got my Spectral back up and running, I'm looking forward to comparing the two

Stax SRM-T2
pretty sure they just didn't shrink the chassis for market appeal I kind of doubt stax will make anything worthwhile in the near future

Schiit Yggdrasil
I can say from experience that the Yggdrasil is not perfectly thermally stable when it's sandwiched like that (left on 24/7) but I don't have ac etc so mileage may vary To be more clear, it has gone into thermally-induced power down. I think it's hotter than you might expect because the vents on top aren't actually real holes.

I mean in the context of omegas I could probably bs something by changing the inner foam for the ep007 pads, and those seem to be the easiest to get nowadays...

yeah I totally get it, but you'd think they'd want our dirty foreigner money to fund other things like R&D...it's not like they aren't already marking up for things like 007 pads. Anyways I couldn't wait so I hooked up the megatron to my AR-T segue. Pretty nice, it might be the heat output but I might prefer it as an Omega amp to the BHSE. Birgir have you experimented with swapping pads? That's why I was looking into those 009 pads at all. Have you tried subbing anything that has a similar diameter? I have some 007 brown pads but making foam fillers for those is a royal pain.

"in case of SR-009, you cannot order replaceent pads only. If you want it, you need to send SR-009 itself as asking its after-care service of ‘replacement pads’. I don’t know how much it costs." these guys are getting smart

SR-Omega arrived, sounds pretty nice on the BHSE. I'll wait to use the Megatron after I retreive my loaned-out Yggdrasil, but I have high expectations.

Windows 10 - Who's upgrading tomorrow?
the only real tangible improvements were the tiling I just mentioned, and they've also cleaned up some of the ui animations. I think for "power users" with 2 or more displays it makes an even bigger difference than on my piddling laptop. I have heard some grumbling about the un/forced sharing of user settings but I'm fine if Microsoft learns that I use gpu acceleration for my midget porn. I like to think I come out slightly positive on that exchange compared to the guy who has to data mine that information

upgraded my surface 3 seems to function well, and I like that they finally decided to implement 2x2 tiling options

cmc Teflon on eBay should be fine, I have a personal preference for the split turret pins. they seem to seat tubes more easily than the solid ones
