What did you do today?
Did an after-Christmas outing with my family (sister, brother, his wife and the husband of my late sister). We went went whale watching out of Ventura harbor. We saw 4 California Gray Whales, a bunch of Common Dolphins and even more California Sea Lions. It was a great day for everybody, except my sister-in-law. She was terribly seasick from the moment we left the harbor. She was still feeling bad when we left Ventura harbor. I hope that she is feeling better by now.

What are you EATING right now?
It possibly is bad. How have you been storing the eggs? Did they look and smell alright when you cracked them? If you have been refrigerating them and they passed the look and smell test they are probably OK.

my advice (worth what you are paying for it) is to take the path of least resistance. in other words, just say thanks and be done with it.

Post the last thing you bought!
A good dessert wine has enough acid to balance the sweetness. An unbalanced dessert wine is just a sweet, cloying disaster. Ports and Sherrys are different things altogether.

The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Considering Jim's history, I was going to say "in S. Dakota". There are a lot of places starting in Texas and going up the plains where it fits.

Geneapalozza: A Celebration Of All Things Gene
The pictures of the food at Red Mesa made my mouth water. I'm sorry I missed it. Of course, had I made it I would have been sorry that I missed the Refinery. So many restaurants, so little time (and money).

2010 HC Holiday Gift Exchange
My gift from Gene arrived yesterday. It consists of the following CDs: King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King Eddie Cochran Somethin' Else, The Fine Lookin' Hits of Eddie Cochran John Hiatt Greatest Hits, The A & M Years '87 - '94 I'm listening to the King Crimson album now on my speaker system. They are really interesting. I have no idea why I never got into them before. I'll listen to the Eddie Cochran and John Hiatt albums later. I had never heard of either of them before, so it's great to get something new like this that I probably wouldn't have tried on my own. Thanks Gene, these are wonderful gifts. Also, thanks again for your effort and generosity for everything TamJam.

Sound Bars?
You already have a great way to lower the bass. It's called a "volume control".

What did you do today?
Jacob, you probably already know this, but just in case I'll mention it anyway. I'm assuming that they've given you a narcotic-based pain killer. A side affect of most (if not all) is constipation. I'd suggest keeping the Metamucil handy and taking it "regularly".

What did you do today?
That's what I hated about winter when I lived in Paris. You go to work in the dark. You go back home in the dark. If you don't get out at lunch, you see no sun. Of course, I did like the fact that the sun didn't set until about 10 pm in the summers. You get some, you lose some.
