  1. It's my only source of wire. Teflon is not easy to strip, but that's not the point.
  2. Amen to that too. I sometimes use another system, but no one beats the hell out of the headphones like the T2. Both Dr Hayashi & Gilmore deserve a thought each time the music starts. PS : my Grounded Grid is coming, gonna be the "portable" little brother...
  3. I bet switching 450 VDC is not easier ? No easy way then... Found some useful kowledge here
  4. How do you guys read the power switch ratings ? I'm looking for a simple 2 pole mechanical switch for high voltage secondaries. I often see 250VAC - 10Amp stuff. Is there a rule of thumb, like more voltage possible with less current ? aka could they handle 360 VAC @ 400 mA ? Thanks for the tip.
  5. Is there any way to delay a transformer secondary ? I wanted to build the GG with a single transformer...
  6. Copied. It's going to complicate my thing a bit.
  7. Is there any need of a a HV delay ?
  8. So sweet sorenb !
  9. Perfectly true. And as Kevin said, we are all biased, usually into class A...
  10. I have just completed a pair of split GRLV for the Grounded Grind. Powered by 25 VAC secondaries. I used 750V resistor for +- 15V, instead of the 1.5k for +-20V. But I'm getting +-20V, so where am I wrong ? Only one 1.5k resistor has to be changed ?
  11. Those are fine PHE426PB6100JR06 From Carbon BOM
  12. Remember that PRPs are 500V rated but can leak through their package. By raising them and depending on the circuit, it can be fine. But with the T2 batteries, It was a big problem.
  13. My god. This DIY is becoming dangerous ! Tinkerer, be careful, I wish you fast success.
  14. Looks like tip soldering to me. But beautiful job for sure !
  15. Beautiful piece of engineering !
  16. I do too
  17. Another professional-looking-premium build. State of the art !
  18. Just eat it. But not too soon, unless it'll taste oxygen free copper and teflon.
  19. You boys are a wild overtalented bunch. This one looks sweet and tiny !
  20. I have installed a quad of Philips Herleen ECC88. Definitely sweet with xf2 EL34.
