  1. yeah, this would work though: http://web.archive.org/web/20080105084047/http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/675949-meter-digital-display-volt-refl-mdmv0000.html anyways, I was too annoyed to bother I guess. I'll post it at DiyA so someone else can hassle them
  2. Parts from Digikey and Mouser for a Pete Millet project Soundcard Interface Now, Digikey pulled a really douchy move and upped the price on Digikey part RLC000-ND by $20 after people started buying these. Pretty lame, and I tried to call them on it, and they said they won't honor the previous price unless I had a copy of the webpage with the previous price.
  3. Linear Integrated Systems - Press Release http://www.linearsystems.com/datasheets/LSK389.pdf If you'd like me to try one, I could send one out your way.
  4. JH13s? maybe they can do just one for half the cost?
  5. yeah, that's the only option on the Samsung, so perhaps it's a blessing after all.
  6. my complaints are no subtitle options and 2 channel audio. Also, having to add titles to your "Instant Queue" rather than browsing from the device itself is sorta annoying. Other than that, I love using it with my Samsung BD-P2500.
  7. that's not bad. Is that through Fluke? I want to ask them about the insane battery drain on my meter, perhaps they'd look it over while it is in?
  8. compared to non over smoothing DACs?
  9. "I bet it won't be long before someone has that as their avatar"
  10. DC offset? That's the one thing people shouldn't be using those crappy Harbor Freight meters for.
  11. can i use on att? k thx bye
  12. nah, kids discs are always in m+ condition, right?
  13. Sorry, I don't have what you need. Also, your Welcome PM suggests giving before receiving around here, just a warning.
  14. don't forget to include as many diodes as you can

I has a question. Anyone know what size the Comply tip is that is included? I'm assuming medium? I seem to be a large using the silicone and want to try the Comply, but the included one seems to be too small. Alternatively, anyone have some they'd want to sell?
  16. cool, I'll add it to my list of links. Yeah, amb did this on the y1, and a certain someone here had a exchange with Ti at headwize and recommended the unbuffered version of the hex inverters
  17. well, I'm already expanded my scope to have both a TTL to coax, and coax to TTL circuits, as well as level shifting. It would be easy enough to also add a toslink connector option. I'm not sure the level shifting is really necessary, so I'm still a bit confused on that point. However, I'll probably add it anyways. I'm also thinking of paralleling more inverters together, perhaps three. I'll post the circuit tomorrow and see if perhaps that will get me a bit more feedback
  18. what about cat and tungsten? oh wait one of those isn't a metal!
  19. QFLOT
  20. I'd like to add that for the moment, I'm only interested in 3.3V TTL and might include a level shifter on the PCB, but it's not priority at all really... I'd use a mosfet or something simple.
  21. cool, did you stumble across them at decent prices? I'm sorta planning to buy a bunch of the Living Stereo re-releases and plotting a way to save to money on them. I know there is the Borders discounts to concider, and the larger audiophile retailers don't seem to have as deep of discounts..
  22. I need help putting together a simple TTL converter circuit to raise three DSD / SPDIF3 signals up to TTL level. I'm tapping the lines off a TI DSD1608. Here's what I have so far. Specifically, I was looking at a single TI SN74HCU04D for all three signals. Any recommendations on the cap here? I was thinking all surface mount here, but whatever the consensus is for the caps, I'm fine with. I'm thinking of adding a regulator as well nearby, like a National LP2985 5V regulator, or similar. Currently, these SPDIF3 lines won't leave the single box player, but perhaps down the line I'd route them to an external box via BNC cables. Either way, I'm assuming a single buffer is okay? Any other topologies that would work well?
  23. For me, the advantage isn't financial, obviously. The advantages in using it for both both primary and secondary fermentation is well worth the expense.
  24. I haven't brewed in a while, but have done it on and off again. I've vowed however to front the cash for a conical fermenter next go around.
  25. Hook up an RSA F-117 Nighthawk to your preamp first. They should be easy enough to get, as 1000 boards have already been professionally soldered and the appropriate chips painted red. Then, listen. Then run to the nearest live venue and enjoy.
